Hello, I have a ford mondeo mk4 2.0tdci 140km 2008R for some time I have a problem with the engine while driving, the emergency mode cuts off, the turbine drops, the engine power drops and turns to a maximum of 2000 rpm. I was pulled up under the computer, the computer showed the error of the turbocharger variable geometry sensor so I replaced the sensor that is responsible for the turbine geometry but it did nothing, so I went under the computer again and this time showed the error P0234 TURBO COMPRESSOR / EXCHANGED PERMISSIBLE VALUE OF ENGINE 'A' the mechanic said that for a 100% turbine for replacement so I replaced the turbine but I still don't know what to do

Yes, the flowmeter was even changed for sure.
The computer did not show any other errors, the car is currently standing at the mechanic's head and what the cause is

The problem was solved the reason was the wrong connection of the vacuum hoses someone tampered there and wrongly connected the vacuum hoses at the turbine

So, as I wrote the first time, it's good that bullshit ... :-)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2008 Ford Mondeo Mk4 2.0 TDCi experiencing engine emergency mode activation, characterized by a drop in turbocharger performance and limited engine RPM to 2000. The user initially replaced the turbocharger variable geometry sensor after receiving an error code related to it. However, the issue persisted, with a subsequent error code P0234 indicating a turbo compressor problem. Suggestions from other users included checking the pressure hoses and the flowmeter, which had already been replaced. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by correcting incorrectly connected vacuum hoses at the turbocharger, which had been tampered with previously.
