I would like to change the connection to the chimney in such a way as to eliminate a straight horizontal section of the smoke pipe, i.e. disconnect the elbow in the place shown in the photo, turn it 90 degrees and enter the chimney straight.
Is it possible to shorten a straight section (180mm) coming directly from the furnace flue in order to move away from the gas pipe running under the ceiling?

If you go to a free smoke duct, not a ventilation duct, there should be no difference

I mean to keep the distance in accordance with the art / construction law, there is no way of "hitting", the chimney sweep will designate a smoke channel ;) .

This can lower the vertical part and add insulation from good wool.

    This is what I mean:

Above the thermal water the required 22cm straight section of flue pipe should be kept. When it comes to changing the flue gas channel, the decision can only be made by a chimney sweep and confirmed by an expert opinion in writing.

Well, this disqualifies me from my intention, because there is also no place to lower the oven. Nothing further, the pipe will run through 3/4 of the length of the kitchen :( .
