    Hello,
Toshiba TV 'H49363G' does not detect the antenna. I connect it without a tuner, directly to the antenna input on the TV.

    Built-in TV tuner (DVB-T2 / C / S2)
    Connections: 2 HDMI(R) ports, 1 USB port

The antenna is without power (on the previous tv it worked flawlessly - the tip is an F plug with a passage) and it does not work with an F plug adapter or directly on the F plug ...

Any ideas ? Do you need to buy a tuner to run terrestrial TV? is an adapter or a setting in tv enough? (I will add that the settings and options are quite limited, because it is more a MONITOR - the manufacturer himself called it 'hotel tv' :) )

Thank you in advance for your trouble and interest in the topic.

    Best regards!

    Standard DVB-T input is IEC.

What do you mean by the phrase I CONNECT THE F PLUG DIRECTLY?

I have no idea .. How to check it?

I connect via IEC to the ANT input and without it to the "LNB" socket - none of the above methods works ..

The LNB is a TV-SAT socket, so it has no right to work.

Because I understand it's a terrestrial TV antenna, right?

Surely the cable is good? Plugs correctly earned?

You don't have anyone to borrow a simple decoder to exclude the installation?

What is your selected signal source? It should be TV or DTV (button number 31 on the remote control).

FAQ

TL;DR: To fix a Toshiba “hotel TV” that won’t detect the antenna, use service code 7935 — "press the menu and enter 7935" — to unlock tuning, then rescan. [Elektroda, tommy4952, post #17323489]

Why it matters: Owners of Toshiba H49363G and similar hotel TVs can quickly restore terrestrial antenna tuning without extra hardware.

Quick facts:

Quick Facts

How do I exit Hotel Mode and enable the antenna tuner?

Use the Service Menu to reveal tuner options.
  1. Press Menu on the remote.
  2. Enter 7935, then press OK to open Service Menu.
  3. Change Hotel Mode settings to enable tuning, exit, then run a channel scan. [Elektroda, tommy4952, post #17323489]

I don’t see the “More” tab in Settings—what now?

If the standard menu is too limited, open the Service Menu using the service code. That grants access to deeper options so you can adjust modes and regain tuning controls. After that, recheck the regular Settings menu for full options. [Elektroda, tommy4952, post #17321114]

What’s the service code to open the Service Menu?

Switch on the TV, press Menu, enter 7935, then press OK. That opens the Service Menu used to change locked settings. [Elektroda, tommy4952, post #17323489]

Which socket should I use for a terrestrial antenna?

Use the IEC antenna input labeled ANT/RF for DVB‑T/T2. TVs expect an IEC male plug there. If your cable ends in an F‑plug, use an F‑to‑IEC adapter so it mates correctly with the ANT socket. [Elektroda, internick, post #17138660]

Why won’t the LNB input work with my aerial?

The LNB port is satellite-only. “The LNB is a TV‑SAT socket, so it has no right to work.” Terrestrial DVB‑T/T2 signals connected there won’t tune at all. Always use the ANT/RF IEC input for terrestrial broadcasts. [Elektroda, internick, post #17138811]

How do I select the TV/DTV source on the CT‑8073 remote?

Set the source to TV or DTV before scanning. On the CT‑8073, use the source control noted as button 31 to switch to TV/DTV. Then open the channel setup to scan. [Elektroda, kli, post #17203039]

Does this TV include a DVB‑T2 tuner and how many ports?

Yes. The set lists a built‑in tuner (DVB‑T2/C/S2). It also mentions 2 HDMI ports and 1 USB port. These confirm it can tune terrestrial broadcasts once Hotel Mode is disabled and the antenna is on the IEC input. [Elektroda, mindless, post #17138486]

It still finds no channels—how can I isolate the fault?

Verify the coax and connectors are properly terminated. Inspect the IEC or adapter fit. Borrow a simple DVB‑T decoder and connect it to the same outlet to rule out the antenna installation. If the decoder tunes, revisit TV settings. [Elektroda, internick, post #17138811]

My menu is very limited—is that Hotel Mode?

Yes. Hotel Mode can restrict panel keys, the remote, USB, and more. That often hides tuning options. Disable Hotel Mode or switch to Home Mode to restore full menus and channel scanning. [Elektroda, mczapski, post #17138825]

I can’t enter the Service Menu; am I pressing the keys correctly?

Press Menu first, then quickly enter 7935, and press OK. Use a working remote that sends numeric keys. Repeat if you mistype. You should see the Service Menu if the sequence is accepted. [Elektroda, tommy4952, post #17323489]

Will an F‑plug directly into ANT work, or do I need an adapter?

The ANT/RF jack expects an IEC plug. If your cable ends with an F‑plug (common for satellite), fit an F‑to‑IEC adapter or re-terminate to IEC. Ensure a snug, noise‑free connection. [Elektroda, internick, post #17138660]

Where in the standard menu can I switch from Hotel to Home Mode?

From the TV menu, go to Settings, choose More, and select Home Mode. That restores normal consumer features, including channel scanning and input changes. [Elektroda, olador, post #17203073]
