Best Adhesive for Attaching Hose to Attachment Tip of Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner
    Hello

Does anyone know what is best to stick the vacuum cleaner hose to the attachment tip? Weigh from Electrolux made of gray (silver) material I do not know what, cyanoacrylate adhesives do not "catch" ...

Originally it was glued with hot glue, but something better, because if the black glue on the tip holds well, the material from which the hose is not very much. Anyone know what material it is?

Technicoll for shoes is not completely suitable, I was thinking about the adhesive for hard plastics, which minimally dissolves the joined surfaces, but I do not know if it will work in this case. Maybe someone has a proven way?

I recommend silicone or car window adhesive. Most plastic adhesives are a water drink because they are only suitable for selected plastics, and epoxy adhesives also fall off with plastic.

The new one can be bought for PLN 43, the adhesives will amount to more.

Use thin-walled shrink tube with glue. These pipes are used in the power industry and can be purchased at electrical wholesalers. Only if it's worth doing, the cost of buying a pipe can exceed the value of the hose.

From what I know, these elements are pressed into the latch so that they can rotate, avoiding twisting the hose (yes I have in Zelmer). If your colleague is out of stock neither glass adhesive nor silicone, it is probably best to buy a new hose.

I did it too, I bought a new hose, but it was longer than the old one, it wasn't it anymore. Fortunately, after a while the vacuum cleaner fell and I bought a new, next Electrolux. Because these are one of the better and quiet vacuum cleaners, and when the hose sits, the engine will crash in a moment.

I just have a few electrolux vacuum cleaners and in the newer ones the adhesive is released, in older electrolux hoses it holds firmly.
In most of even the cheapest vacuum cleaners it is so that at the end a plastic ring is screwed onto the weighbridge and closed with a clip in the tip so that the pipe can rotate, unfortunately in electrolux it is glue: /
I'm more interested in what material is this?

Maybe someone will still need it, but there is a way to do it: a 5-centimeter galvanized water pipe, a solder lamp.
I took out the rest of the hose from the holder - I made a cone at the end of the water pipe with an angle piece - I thrust the fired solder lamp into the holder and heated it (a few seconds) with the factory plastic ring and pressed the water pipe, after cooling it, I put the original vacuum cleaner pipe on the water pipe (with a large resistance to the very end).
Works as it should and there is no sign of repair.
    Happy DIY.

For this, adhesives used in the assembly of central vacuum cleaners, such as PVC assembly glue and CPVC USTM or VACUBOND SLUYTER, should be used.
It is important that the surfaces are clean. Apply it very carefully with a brush because it has dissolving properties so that the binder is tight after drying.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the best adhesive options for attaching a vacuum cleaner hose to the attachment tip of an Electrolux vacuum cleaner. Users suggest various adhesives, including silicone, car window adhesive, PVC assembly glue, and CPVC USTM, emphasizing the importance of compatibility with the materials involved. Some recommend using a thin-walled shrink tube with glue or even welding plastics. Others mention the possibility of purchasing a new hose if repairs are ineffective. The original adhesive used was hot glue, which proved inadequate for the gray material of the hose. The conversation also touches on the construction of the hose attachment, noting that some models use a plastic ring and clip mechanism instead of adhesive.
