    Hi.
Every time I turn off Windows Deffender's "Real-time protection", it turns itself back on after restarting or sleeping.
How is this damn thing turned off permanently ???

I don't know why you need to turn off "real-time protection" but the easiest way is to remove Windows Defender and upload some other antivirus. best regards

Unfortunately, my group policy looks different than in the video:

However, I found such an option in "all settings" - we'll see.

How do I add a shortcut to gpedit.msc to the start menu?
I added a shortcut to the desktop but I can't move it to the start menu:

What a shit they did with these restrictions !!!

    2. Oddly enough, even though I also turned off the Windows Update service in these settings, it was after this change that he decided to install updates for me and shows that there are more pending.

You can disable it for good by editing the registry.

On this you have the manual. Described as "Method 2".

It worked for me. It is so effective that even if you want to restart protection, you will not be able to do it without removing the key.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the persistent reactivation of Windows Defender's "Real-time protection" feature in Windows 10 Pro, despite attempts to disable it. Users suggest various methods to permanently turn off this feature, including uninstalling Windows Defender in favor of another antivirus, disabling the Defender service via the services panel, and using Group Policy settings. However, some users encounter access issues and difficulties navigating Group Policy. Another proposed solution involves editing the Windows Registry to disable the feature permanently. Users express frustration with the restrictions imposed by Windows and seek further assistance in managing these settings.
