Hello, the problem is as in the topic. I bought a ready 8pin din to 3.5mm jack cable, but the radio does not see that something has been connected and I can't play my own music. It does not read CDs, neither does cassettes. I tried to make aux for the cassette board but it doesn't work at all. Somewhere on this forum I read that you need to solder the 12v cable from the radio to pin number 8 (picture) to make it work. However, I am afraid to do it without a previous question on the forum because the purchase of a new radio is average for me.

Instead of combining it, I would invest in an FM transmitter.

I know that the transmitter would do the job, but unfortunately at the moment I have more important expenses than buying such a device

As long as it's a regular cable and not a mini emulator, it is not enough for you. You need an emulator for this radio.
there is a chance that you bought something like this http://serwis.tv/?32,adapter-interkietas-do-volvo-wyjscie-aux-wersja-micro

you just need an Arduino and a batch to activate AUX you can skip the rest of the project
