    Hello,

I am trying to buy a receiver + floorstanders. I am a bit of a lame at the moment when it comes to receivers, loudspeakers and plugging it all in, so I would like to consult experts :) .

I am currently using the Edifier R2600 speakers which are connected to the Prodigy Cube card and to the PC. The sound from this set is satisfactory, but I would like to enter into better solutions.

The budget I would like to spend on the equipment is up to PLN 4,000. I would like to do it in installments = the receiver somehow in the near future, and the loudspeakers somewhere in 2 months. So I would like to temporarily connect the receiver to my Edifiers and the question here is, is it possible given that Edifiers have their own power supply?

And which receiver and later which speakers should you choose? I have read a lot of reviews and reviews on the Yamaha 602 and Onkyo 8150 and can't make up my mind. What is important to me is Wifi and the ability to play from Spotify (this is my main audio source). I don't need MusicCast and I don't want to pay extra for it, but if Yamaha is definitely better (because it's prettier it is :) ), I am able to add these 3 stakes.

The room I have for the sound system is about 25m2. I am interested in stereo sound - I am not going to upgrade to 5.1 or 7.1. The music I listen to is 80% rock, punk rock, some metal and I would like both the amp and the speakers to be suitable for this kind of music, but also not to cry too much with other genres.

I will be grateful for any help and feedback :)

Yamaha sounds cool, metallic, the loudspeakers must be of the dark teddy bears in order for the bass to be at a satisfactory level. When it comes to the Onkyo 8150 it's better. I believe the Onkyo TX-8270 will be a better choice. As for Edifier, you will be able to connect it, but not like ordinary speakers, only cinch cables in Onkyo is LINE OUT. Yamaha does not have such an output, although it does have tape recorders, so you can connect with Edifiers.
