    Hello.
I have this problem with win 10 on a desktop computer:
When I put the system to sleep, after some time (usually several hours) the computer turns on by itself. So I go home and here is a login screen waiting for me.
    Anybody knows what's going on?

Maybe the mouse wakes up. Unplug it and check it.

When he wakes up, run cmd with administrator rights and run the command:
    powercfg -lastwake

It should make it easier to find the cause.

How much crap I got tired of - and .. I didn't find a solution.
In general, I noticed that most often (but also not always) it wakes up when it has an update to be installed (after waking up, if I want to close it, I have, for example, "install and disable").
There is a lot of advice on the web, but all of them work for a "short time".
What is worse, the problem is difficult to repeat, because when it is awakened by an update, it is calm until the next update.
M $ kicked it off, because if the update is doing it, it could do and turn off the computer and not cause the 10 computers in the office that are on sleep to wake up and walk all weekend. In the morning we come to work, the computers are turned on (of course they are on the password)

It taught me how to use hibernation and suspend windows 10. M $ just broke it.

Exactly. And my updates are disabled.
He gets up in the middle of the day or in the middle of the night for no reason and that's it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Windows 10 desktop computer that automatically wakes from sleep mode after several hours, leading to unexpected login screens. Initial suggestions include checking if the mouse is causing the wake-up and using the command "powercfg -lastwake" to identify the cause. The user discovers that the "Maintenance Activator" is responsible for the wake-ups. Further advice includes adjusting automatic maintenance settings and checking scheduled wake timers with "powercfg /waketimers." The user expresses frustration, noting that the issue often coincides with Windows updates, which can disrupt multiple computers in an office setting. Despite attempts to disable updates, the problem persists, leading to a preference for hibernation over sleep mode.
