    Hello,
I have a question. Can serious consequences result from this if we have overcharged the battery in the phone to 100% charge? Well, a one-time problem happened. In the evening, when I recharged the phone charger and then the contact, the percentage of battery power was below 20%. Usually, I charge the phone from the time the low battery message appears, i.e. 20% to 90%. Unfortunately, at that time I fell asleep. I woke up at one in the morning and immediately jumped up to quickly disconnect the charger from the phone and then the charger from the contact. I was very upset, especially at myself, that while the phone was charging, I unexpectedly and completely fell asleep. I do not know what to do. It was the first time such a situation appeared and the last one. I take care of my phone and would like to preserve the battery life as long as possible. I'm just afraid if the battery and the phone were damaged after the first time, and above all, those small and larger components located in the entire battery and the entire phone. I am very concerned that something could actually be damaged after falling asleep while the phone was charging. Therefore, I am asking for help and a comprehensive answer. Thank you in advance!!!

Don't worry about overcharging, I have my phones connected to the chargers all the time, the phone will charge to 100% and stop charging, the battery will drop to 95% and will recharge to 100% again and again, phones, chargers and cells they have gone ahead in this respect. I would be more of a complete discharge, but the phone will notice that the cell charge is low and will turn itself off and will not let it discharge completely. If there is a complete discharge once, there is nothing to worry about, it is important that the complete discharge is not common, good luck in using the phone.
    Have a nice day.

New types of chargers turn off when the phone ends charging or the power consumption drops to a certain level

It is a Huawei P10 PLUS phone with a SuperCharge charger. I hope that these types of chargers have automatic shutdown options when the phone is fully charged to 100% and do not consume or accumulate energy, so as not to damage the battery, i.e. the phone (important assemblies and components in which I am). ..

The charger disconnects the power supply but maintains the power supply. In my opinion, it is a myth that the device breaks down after one overcharge.

After all, the automatic ending of charging and holding the power supply has been known since the times of Nokia 3210 or even earlier ... You can leave the phone and for a month under the electricity and nothing will happen.
