"Poles and Poles", please tell me what I'm doing wrong. With the help of CWM, I come to the stage of selecting the system from the sd card. After a while I have this picture:

After giving up ... for 2 days I have been trying to do it but no progress :( . I downloaded a few dedicated XEO ROMs, but when I try to install something either crashes or ODIN comes to a certain point and nothing happens for 1 hour: /

The worst thing is that the tablet connected to the charger does not show any signs of life and I do not really know if it is charging in this state. Because if not, then soon it will crouch to the amen: /
Maybe it's the fault of a non-original cable (but ODIN sees it), or I come across such ROMs :( . Where to suck in a soft that would not be 100% damaged?

    Thanks for the info.

My temporal helplessness did not give me peace and I fought to the end. I finally found the right soft, changed the USB socket and the ODIN version. I do not know what improved the situation the most, but I was able to return to software 4.0.4 without any problems.
And since I've already mastered the topic of restoring software ... then of course the temptation made me return to another attempt to update to 6.0.1 :) . It was achieved in 80%, i.e.
    * TWRP - uploaded and works
    * aosp-6.0-p4-20160809 - uploaded and works
    * BETA-SuperSU-v2.52 - uploaded and works
    * open_gapps-arm-6.0-stock-20180625 - this is where the problem (probably error 70 or something like that) appeared at the installation stage. I'll fight it again. . .
I thought that while on the https://opengapps.org website, he could choose an application package dedicated to a lower android version? Maybe ARM / 5.1 ??
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Finally from https://github.com/opengapps/arm/releases I downloaded open_gapps-arm-6.0- pico -20180627.zip. It installed without problems. I just wonder what the package should "more or less" contain? I was expecting a large number of different types of applications and actually I do not know if there was anything else besides google play. . . even youtube I had to pull from the store. On the other hand, maybe it's good that I don't have so much "crap" on the tab.
And why would you choose a package dedicated to 4.4?

Because the factory firmware was version 4.0.4, which is the closest to the factory firmware.

Well, now the factory has been replaced with firmware version 6.1 so the pico 6 seemed to be the most compatible / similar

But the hardware of the tablet is not adapted to 6.1, so the manufacturer did not release a newer version than 4.0.4.

It's a fact. If you want to replace packages you need to uninstall 6.0 pico first (but how?) To install 4.4 later?

The first impression after switching from firmware 4.0.4 to aosp-6.0 is that the tablet needs to be charged for a long time to reach 100% (3 ~ 4h). Is it normal ?

How do I fix firmware upload errors in CWM on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500?

Move to stock first. Flash the latest multi‑file repair firmware with Odin, then re‑attempt custom recovery/ROM. "Upload the latest available firmware and that's it." [Elektroda, nutergsm, post #17297577] Use SamFirm to get a clean, multi‑file package [Elektroda, nutergsm, post #17298543] If CWM fails, switch to TWRP and verify MD5 before flashing [TWRP — Install/Flash Guide]. The original poster solved issues by changing the USB socket and Odin version, then restored 4.0.4 [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17299254]

Odin is stuck (e.g., at SetupConnection). What should I try?

Try a different USB cable/port, preferably short and OEM. Reinstall Samsung USB drivers. Avoid hubs and USB 3.0 ports. Try another Odin build. The OP reported progress after changing the USB socket and Odin version [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17299254] Odin hanging for an hour indicates a connection/driver issue [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin]. Install Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones and reboot your PC [Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones].

Where can I download safe, unmodified firmware or ROMs for the P7500?

For official firmware, use SamFirm/Frija to fetch multi‑file packages directly from Samsung servers [Elektroda, nutergsm, #17298543; SamFirm — XDA Thread; Frija — XDA Thread]. For custom ROMs like AOSP 6.0, use trusted XDA threads for the P7500 (codename p4) and verify checksums [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, #17299254; [ROM][P4] AOSP 6.0 — XDA].

What is a multi‑file repair firmware and how do I flash it with Odin?

It contains BL/AP/CP/CSC files used to fully rewrite partitions [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin]. How‑To:
  1. Download multi‑file firmware for your CSC (e.g., XEO for Poland) via SamFirm/Frija [SamFirm — XDA Thread].
  2. Load BL/AP/CP/CSC in Odin. Leave Re‑Partition unchecked. Ensure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are on [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin].
  3. Flash. Keep battery >50% to avoid mid‑flash failure [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin].

What’s inside Open GApps pico, and why did “stock” fail with error 70?

Pico includes only core Google Play Services, SetupWizard, and Play Store [Open GApps — Package Comparison]. Error 70 means your /system partition lacks space. Use pico or customize removals to fit Marshmallow on legacy devices [Open GApps Wiki — FAQ]. The OP switched to open_gapps‑arm‑6.0‑pico‑20180627.zip and installed successfully [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17299836]

How do I fix Open GApps error 70 on Marshmallow for the P7500?

Use the smallest package (pico). In TWRP, Wipe > System, then flash ROM first, then GApps. Do not mix Android versions (6.0 GApps only on 6.0 ROMs) [Open GApps Wiki — FAQ]. If space is still tight, use a gapps‑config to exclude extras [Open GApps Wiki — FAQ]. The OP saw error 70 with stock and resolved it using pico [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, #17299254; Elektroda, PABLOTECH, #17299836].

Can I run Android 6.0.1 (AOSP) on the P7500, and what are the trade‑offs?

Yes, community AOSP 6.0 builds for “p4” exist, but Samsung’s official max is 4.0.4 [Elektroda, nutergsm, #17300316; Samsung P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Full phone specifications]. Expect limited performance on 1 GB RAM hardware and potential feature gaps in unofficial builds [Samsung P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Full phone specifications; [ROM][P4] AOSP 6.0 — XDA]. “But the hardware of the tablet is not adapted to 6.1.” [Elektroda, nutergsm, post #17300316]

Charging now takes 3–4 hours—normal after moving to AOSP 6.0?

A 7000 mAh pack typically needs several hours to fill on 5 V chargers [Samsung P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Full phone specifications]. The OP reported 3–4 hours; age‑related battery wear increases charge time and reduces capacity [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, #17300378; Battery University, 2021]. Use a 2 A wall charger and the OEM 30‑pin cable for best results [Samsung P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Full phone specifications].

How do I remove 6.0 GApps and switch to 4.4 GApps?

GApps must match the ROM’s Android version. You cannot keep 6.0 GApps on a 4.4 ROM [Open GApps Wiki — FAQ]. In TWRP: Wipe > System, flash the 4.4 ROM, then flash 4.4 GApps, then reboot [TWRP — Install/Flash Guide]. The question came up when downgrading from AOSP 6.0 [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17300378]

Which Odin version works best for the P7500?

If Odin hangs, try a different build (legacy vs newer) while keeping settings sane. The OP succeeded after changing the Odin version [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17299254] Use current Odin from reputable threads and never enable Re‑Partition unless you have the correct PIT [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin].

What does the XEO code mean on Samsung firmware?

XEO is the unbranded Poland CSC. Use a CSC that matches your region/carrier for clean updates and correct features [CSC Country/Carrier codes list]. The OP tried several XEO ROMs during recovery [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17297822]

How do I enter Download Mode or Recovery on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500?

Power off. Hold Power + Volume Down for several seconds. Select Download (Odin) or Recovery with volume keys, confirm with Power [HardReset.info — Samsung P7500 Download/Recovery]. Use Odin in Download Mode to flash stock or TWRP in Recovery to flash custom zips [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin; TWRP — Install/Flash Guide].

What if Odin still fails—could the USB port or cable be the culprit?

Yes. The OP fixed flashing after replacing the USB dock socket and cable [Elektroda, PABLOTECH, post #17299254] Old 30‑pin ports wear out and cause intermittent connection drops. Replacing the dock connector is a known repair [iFixit — Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Dock Connector Replacement]. Use a short, quality cable and a direct PC port [SamMobile — How to install firmware with Odin].

Is there a simple 3‑step path to recover from soft‑brick and update safely?

  1. Flash stock 4.0.4 multi‑file firmware via Odin (SamFirm/Frija download) [Elektroda, nutergsm, #17298543; SamFirm — XDA Thread].
  2. Boot, then flash TWRP. Make a full backup in Recovery [TWRP — Install/Flash Guide].
  3. Flash AOSP 6.0 (p4) and Open GApps pico; reboot and update apps [[ROM][P4] AOSP 6.0 — XDA; Open GApps — Package Comparison].

Where are the exact links the OP used?

The thread doesn’t list direct links. Requesters asked for them later [Elektroda, djmatrakx, #19239719; Elektroda, InspiredZebra42, #19301265]. Use official sources: SamFirm/Frija for stock, XDA threads for p4 AOSP, TWRP builds for p4, and Open GApps (ARM/Android 6.0) [SamFirm — XDA Thread; Frija — XDA Thread; [ROM][P4] AOSP 6.0 — XDA; Open GApps — Package Comparison].
