    Hello.

I got a tablet like that in the subject. It is fully functional and in perfect condition. I would like to use it, however, the old android 4.0.4 from a few years ago prevents me from installing some browsers or applications. I am looking for and I am looking and I can not find anywhere how to safely upgrade my system to a newer version of android. I did not even find it on the Samsung website. (I do not know maybe I can not look), but I have not found a description of how to do it and where to download the new version. Maybe one of my colleagues will help and show you how to do it ??? The menu does not find an update I do not know why despite having found information from a few years ago that Samsung has released an update to a much newer version.

    greetings

ps. I found something like that, but I'm worried if it suits me ??

You have a description after all in the link I provided.
You install TWRP from Odin. You start TWRP and you reset the settings.
You upload the rom into the memory card and install it via TWRP.
Then you install gapss (google apps) also via TWRP.
At the end, you install SuperSU via TWRP.

    Hello.

Managed to. Admittedly, I'm not just a colleague who has done this several times. He stated that it can only be updated to 4.2.1. The above supposedly can not be anything that would not mean ......
In any case, the tablet works much more efficiently than before. There is one problem I did not write about earlier because I thought it was related to an outdated version of android or some errors. As the tablet will be charged up to 100% it works perfectly until the battery charge drops to 50-35%. Then it turns off suddenly without warning and you can not turn it on. It behaves like the battery has died. As I connect it to the charger, it can be switched on normally and everything works, however, if I unplug the charger after a moment of charging, it turns off after a few seconds as before. It has to go through the normal loading process to 100% to make it work again. Question to colleagues. Is this the problem of a damaged battery or can you do something about it with the service level? This is not a question of the new android because earlier this problem also occurred.
    pozdr.

It looks like a faulty battery. To be 100% sure you have to replace it with a new one.
