    Hello
The topic applies to 2din car radio on Android 6.0.1 Blow AVH-9900, after restoring factory settings its model seen after bluetooth is MX-8650A)
Blow AVH-9900 - Eqalizer does not work properly on Chinese 2 din radio
Problem with equalizer settings after turning on the radio. The point is that after starting the radio (application), each time there is a lack of high tones (treble slider set to MAX) and behaves as if it were in the minimum position and all you need to do is move it gently and the high tones return (according to the slider setting treble) and so until I turn off the radio (radio application) or the radio itself, after restarting the radio (application), then again I have to enter the equalizer settings, gently change the position of the treble slider, or choose one of the ready equalizer settings and everything works as it should be. The problem does not occur when listening to music via bluetooth and external media.

I guess the problem will be in the RADIO application itself, the treble slider position is not refreshed and information about its setting is not sent to the sound processor (CSC37534). The question of whether anyone has an idea how to eliminate this problem and how to possibly go about it, probably involves burying in the software.
Any ideas are welcome, of course I do not mean equipment replacement or complaints - (equipment bought back with this fault).

    My radio is BLOW AVH-9900.

Regarding my topic, I tried to root the station but without success, thanks to which I wanted to "pull out" the radio application and subject it to modification (although I have no idea about writing an android application), it would be a step forward, unfortunately not yet available for me If anyone has any experience in this type of matters, a hint would be appreciated.

The next step was to download a similar software to the station and "remove" the radio application and eqalizer and install them on my station. While the eqalizer was able to install (it does not change parameters), the radio application could not be installed.

The next thing I did was connect the I2c analyzer to the radio and view what was happening on the bus. Here are the logs received after starting the station and starting the radio application (at the bottom of the topic).

I added short comments in the logs. Then I wrote a short program (Bascom) and programmed AVR (promini with atmega 328p on board), I joined the radio and managed to get the change i.e. the treble parameter was set to max, and you could end the topic because after each start of the station and turning on the radio on the blue wire from the radio appears a voltage of 12V that starts my attached system and sends after a countdown (e.g. 4sec) the sequence on I2c and changes the treble to max, the problem is that if I start, e.g. playback from external media and restart the radio, then treble = 0 returns. I do not have experience in i2c, but if someone has an idea how to read using AVR what is sent from the master to the slave (sound processor) and when e.g. we detect that the address 0x80 and 0x57 (treble functions)
the value 142 will be sent (this corresponds to the treble setting to min) then our attached AVR will send the value = 12 to this address (it corresponds to the treble setting to max).
Maybe this is not the most beautiful solution but for me it would be enough).

The last idea would be that the android application would be able to send to i2c just like my attached AVR the appropriate sequence and change this unfortunate treble parameter to max.
Here are the details of the pdf-a bd37534f or sound processor on this radio.

If someone has similar problems with your station, let them answer, at least we will know if my case is the only one.

Buddy sosarach very good note for a friend wlodia if he has new equipment, let him advertise, maybe some updates will send that will solve the problem. My radio is second hand and it was a bit buried in it so a complaint is out of the question.
Buddy, thanks for the information, because I thought I was the only one, then there are two of us (at least for now).
Of course, the solution would be to update and even for some time I have been digging this topic, just type in the search engine t3 p3 firmware and we have a lot to download the firmware MCU and Firmware, just what to choose not to do with the brick radio. To start with, I wanted to make copies of the MCU and firmware -u from my radio (just in case), I tried to root this radio but so far without effective.
If there is anyone who has knowledge and experience in these matters, would be appreciated.

My friend, I used your advice and just wrote to the distributor's service briefly describing the problem of this Chinese invention. I am curious about the website's approach to the topic, I honestly do not count on their help, but it does not hurt to use such an option, I hope that they will pleasantly surprise me. I will answer and let you know about the progress.
For now, thanks for your help.

    Welcome back.
The topic of the radio is still valid, the distributor's service asked if the described fault occurred before or after opening the radio and is now silent about it.
I put a short film presenting the problem of the lack of high tones after each launch of the radio application and the need to run the equalizer and adjust the position of the treble slider to play correctly:

    1. Does anyone know how to backup system / romu / MCU?
    2. How to do root on this radio (kingroot, kingoroot not overwhelmed by this)?
    3. Where to get files for the update and how to carry it out (access to the bootloader is)
    4. Will having the backup be able to restore the equipment to its original state in the event of failure?
    5. USB debugging is enabled in the options, does it give any possibility to get started with this problem?

Hello. I had the same problem. After contacting the website, I received a file that needs to be installed in the radio according to the attached instructions:
Please extract the file from the attachment directly to a USB stick, enter the car setting, mcu update options, and wait about a minute.
The file I received is placed in the attachment.

I confirm the statement of my colleague hugo9, after updating the MCU, the above mentioned radio file and its other functions work properly.
I also received the file from the website of the Blow brand distributor, thanks to the kindness and professional approach of Mr. Paweł and the team working there.
Not forgetting my friend Sosarek whom I thank for the idea of contacting the service.
We have a solution so the topic can be considered closed.

FAQ

TL;DR: Quick fix the Blow AVH‑9900 Radio EQ treble bug with an MCU update; it takes about 1 minute; "I had the same problem." [Elektroda, hugo9, post #17558757]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps Blow AVH‑9900 owners resolve the Radio app’s missing‑treble issue without rooting or hardware hacks.

Quick Facts

What causes the equalizer treble to drop on the Blow AVH‑9900 Radio app?

Symptoms point to a Radio app bug. On start, it fails to refresh the treble slider and send the current value to the sound processor. Nudging the slider forces the app to transmit the correct setting. The bug doesn't appear over Bluetooth or external media. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17380105]

Where do I get the official fix?

Contact Blow’s distributor service. They provide an MCU update file with simple instructions after you describe the symptom. Ask for the AVH‑9900 treble issue MCU update. This is the supported path and avoids rooting. [Elektroda, hugo9, post #17558757]

How do I install the MCU update?

Use the built‑in updater.
  1. Extract the provided file directly to a USB stick’s root.
  2. On the unit, open Car settings > MCU update.
  3. Start the update and wait about one minute.
The unit will update and restore correct treble behavior. [Elektroda, hugo9, post #17558757]

Will the MCU update actually restore treble and stabilize EQ?

Yes. After updating the MCU with the provided file, the radio and other functions worked properly. The original poster confirmed the issue vanished and closed the topic. Apply the fix to stop the treble reset on every Radio app start. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17560065]

Does this issue affect Bluetooth or external media?

No. The treble bug appears only in the built‑in Radio application. Bluetooth and external media playback keep EQ settings. Another owner confirmed the problem is limited to the Radio app. [Elektroda, wlodia, post #17523106]

Is there a temporary workaround if I can’t update today?

Open the Radio app, then enter the equalizer and nudge the treble slider. Alternatively, select any preset to refresh the treble value. Audio returns to normal until you close or restart the Radio app. You must repeat this each time the Radio app starts. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17380105]

Can I fix it by replacing the Radio app or installing another equalizer?

Attempts to replace the Radio app failed. The equalizer app installed but did not change parameters. The Radio app could not be installed over the original package. Use the MCU update instead of sideloading replacements. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17394701]

Can I correct treble via I2C or an external microcontroller?

Advanced users injected I2C writes to the sound processor. They used the blue wire’s 12 V trigger at boot to power an AVR. Writing to addresses 0x80 and 0x57 set treble; 142 equals minimum, 12 equals maximum. Switching to external media and back reset treble to zero again. Update the MCU for a cleaner fix. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17394701]

Do I need root to apply the official fix?

No. The MCU update runs from the unit’s settings menu. Copy the file to USB and launch the updater. Root access is unnecessary for this process. Follow the prompts and wait about a minute. [Elektroda, hugo9, post #17558757]

Can I root the AVH‑9900 to edit or replace the Radio app?

Root attempts with KingRoot and KingoRoot were unsuccessful in this thread. The author wanted root to pull and modify the Radio app. No working root method was documented. Enabling USB debugging did not lead to a solution. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17537766]

How can I back up the MCU or ROM before updating?

The thread did not produce a working backup path. The author tried to root first to copy MCU and firmware. Without root, no simple backup was captured or shared. Consult Blow service if you need recovery options. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17537766]

Should I use warranty or contact service for this problem?

Yes. One advisor recommended warranty or an update request. "There is a guarantee - advertise or look for an update that may fix this error." Service can supply the MCU file. [Elektroda, sosarek, post #17520327]

Is there a video demonstrating the symptom?

Yes. A short film shows missing treble after each Radio app launch and that moving the treble slider restores highs. Use the linked video in the post to illustrate the issue when contacting support. [Elektroda, mi-cha-el, post #17537766]
