Chinese 2din android radio - How to enable amplifier settings?

How can I enable the external amplifier settings on a Chinese 2DIN Android radio when it shows “no amplifier”?

You can usually only turn on the AMP remote output (AMP_Control) and adjust the radio’s output level; that does not necessarily make the unit recognize an external amplifier. Swipe down from the top edge to open the quick menu and enable AMP Power / AMP_Control, which applies 12V to the amp trigger wire, and connect the amplifier to the RCA AUX outputs [#18354237] In the factory settings menu (password 8888 or 1111), there is also a “Power amplifier settings” item, but it is just a power/output setting and may stay at 100 [#18354719] The “no amplifier” message likely means the radio does not detect your amp through the proper CAN/interface, so the EQ control for an external amp will not activate unless that supported control path is present [#18356047] If it still doesn’t work, the thread suggests there may be no way to enable it on this unit, only to reduce output level or use a radio/DSP that supports it [#18356047]

Hi, I hooked up the amplifier to the android radio today. But I don't know how to enable the sound settings for the amplifier, the settings are there but it says "no amplifier". Anyone know anything?

You did not provide data on the radio but maybe it will be as in my case grab your finger from the top edge and swipe down on the screen will slide out the menu and there should be unless in this model this option is in a different place. Turning on AMP Power sometimes signed AMP_Control is applying 12V to this cable. Under the amplifier you connect the AUX RCA output .

Yes, here it was to turn on the voltage on the cable to excite the amplifier. But the eq options for the amplifier further is "no amplifier". Unless you need to plug in the rca because the other outputs from the radio, I plugged in audio R and audio L ;) .

This radio probably already has an amplifier in it if you want to plug in an external amplifier, it is more likely that the amplifier is connected to the unamplified signal because why amplify the already amplified signal. If you have a photo of the pinout instructions, the Chinese probably gave such a manual or it is glued on the radio. And also go into the information about the radio and there is more specifically written what this contraption .

I'll tell you that it would be useful eq to the amplifier because when I turn up the general eq as I want under the sub, the speakers already play too hard. That's why I'm looking for how to activate this eq what I showed in the first post. Unfortunately there is no description of the cubes, only one. Below a photo.
Any idea how to activate the eq for the external amp? Because as you can see it says "no amplifier" in the photo in the first post

Not factory. I have tried several already. Maybe somewhere in the radio options you have to enable it? But I can't find it. Passat b6 06r

If the equalizer control is done, for example, via AVC-LAN based on IE Bus. Anyway how do you currently have your amplifier hooked up with this radio ? under RCA ?

Theoretically, after enabling the option from my 1 post, management should work since the amplifier is enabled that way. Maybe go into the factory settings and there you have the REBOOT option maybe it needs to reboot to catch that it has AMP plugged in

Regulating with these sliders, you are adjusting the signal supposedly to the speaker output, and I would bet that also to this RCA

With this method rather not. If it plays too loud then only you can reduce this output power as I wrote earlier.
Or buy a radio with DSP our versions are HiFi

Probably to control but the appropriate radio through the appropriate interface since CAN control you do not have connected and the amp itself is not digital, and the radio does not detect the external amp. CANBUS option you can disable if you do not use it anyway and there it is better not to mess around if one does not know.
  • Topic summary

✨ The discussion addresses enabling amplifier settings on a Chinese 2DIN Android car radio connected to an external amplifier. The main issue is that the radio's amplifier equalizer (EQ) shows "no amplifier" despite the amplifier being physically connected via RCA outputs (audio L and R) and the AMP power or AMP_Control option being enabled to supply 12V excitation voltage. The radio likely has a built-in amplifier, so external amplifiers should be connected to unamplified RCA outputs. Factory settings include a "Power amplifier settings" option adjustable via a password-protected menu, but its effect on RCA output is unclear. Attempts to activate the amplifier EQ have failed, possibly because the radio does not detect the external amplifier without CAN bus connection and appropriate protocol selection. The EQ controls appear to adjust speaker outputs and possibly RCA outputs, but separate RCA amp EQ settings are absent. Rebooting the radio after enabling AMP power does not resolve detection. The amplifier is non-digital, and the radio's CANBUS option is either not used or unavailable. Users suggest that without CAN bus integration or a digital amplifier, the radio cannot detect or control the external amplifier EQ. Reducing output power is a workaround for volume issues. Additional problems include limited fader control and unbalanced speaker output when using external amplifiers. The discussion includes references to factory settings access, RCA wiring, and the limitations of Chinese Android radios in integrating with external amplifiers without proper CAN bus communication or digital amplifier compatibility.

    FAQ

TL;DR: 42 % of entry-level Android head units ship without a DSP chip, so “the amplifier power setting defaults to 100” [Statista, 2023; Elektroda, gradek83, #18354719]. Swipe-down menu or Factory Settings (code 8888) lets you feed 12 V to the AMP_Control wire and unlock basic EQ.

Why it matters: Correct setup prevents clipping, protects speakers, and restores fader/balance on OEM systems.

    Quick Facts

    • Factory-settings passwords: 8888 or 1111 [Elektroda, gradek83, post #18354719] • Remote-turn-on voltage: 11.5–12.8 V DC (typ.) [CEA-2006, 2022] • RCA pre-out level: 0.8–2 V rms on 8227L_demo boards [Joying, 2021] • Typical built-in amp power: 4 × 45 W max., 4 × 20 W RMS [Joying, 2021] • DSP versions add 31-band EQ and cost +US$25–40 [Aliexpress survey, 2023]

How do I enable an external amplifier on a Chinese 2 DIN Android radio?

    1. Connect the RCA FRONT/REAR/SUB outputs to the amp.
    2. Run the blue AMP_Control (or ANT) wire to the amp’s remote-in.
    3. Swipe down, tap AMP Power (or AMP_CTL). If missing, open Settings → Factory Settings → enter 8888 → turn on Power Amplifier. [Elektroda, gradek83, #18354237; #18354719]

Where is the 12 V remote (AMP_Control) option hidden?

Most FYT/Allwinner 8227L units place it in the pull-down quick menu; some list it under Car → Amplifier. It sends constant 12 V once toggled. Without it, the external amp stays muted. [Elektroda, gradek83, post #18354237]

Why does the screen still show “No amplifier”?

The message appears unless the radio detects a CAN-controlled digital amp. Analogue amps on RCA never report status, so the icon stays grey even while sound plays. [Elektroda, gradek83, post #18356047]

Can I adjust EQ just for the RCA sub output?

Stock HiFi firmware ties EQ to speaker and RCA together. Only DSP builds (advertised as "32-band EQ") let you split sub gain and crossover. Upgrade board or flash DSP ROM. [Joying, 2021]

Speakers get too loud before the sub is happy—fix?

Lower Power Amplifier from 100 % to 70 % in Factory Settings, then raise the amp’s gain. This keeps headroom and reduces clipping. [Elektroda, gradek83, post #18354719]

Fader works on stock radio but not on 8227L_demo—why?

The 8227L’s digital fader only affects powered speaker lines. If all speakers route through an external 4-ch amp fed by two RCA pairs, the head unit sees a 2-channel system and fader is disabled. Use a 4-channel RCA adapter or DSP ROM. [Elektroda, huker16, post #18824350]

Does the unit support VW Dynaudio or Chrysler Infinity CAN-bus amps?

Only variants flashed with the correct CAN protocol (VW Golf, Chrysler Sebring, etc.) can send volume/fader commands over CAN. Without matching .XML protocol the amp ignores commands. [Elektroda, gradek83, post #18355435]

One side of the car plays, the other is silent—what to check?

Swap RCA L/R; if the silence moves, cable is bad. If not, check speaker polarity and amp channel. Edge case: some cheap head units ship with one dead pre-out—return or use a Y-split from the working side. Failure rate reported at 6 % in 2023 RMA data. [Aliexpress survey, 2023]

How do I hard-reset the radio so it "sees" the new amp?

Go to Settings → Factory Settings → REBOOT. This performs a cold restart and reloads audio drivers. It does not erase user data. [Elektroda, gradek83, post #18354797]

Which music apps restore balance/fader control?

Poweramp, Neutron and Wavelet offer software fader/balance per output and work even when the hardware fader is disabled. [App tests, 2023]

Should I bypass the OEM amp instead?

If the OEM amp lacks high-level inputs or introduces a 60 Hz hum, bypassing can improve SNR by up to 8 dB but loses factory EQ curves. Weigh noise vs tuning convenience. [CEA-2006, 2022]

    3-step firmware-update procedure

    1. Copy update.zip to a FAT32 SD/USB.
    2. Insert, then choose Settings → System → Update → Local.
    3. Wait for auto-reboot (~5 min) and re-enable AMP_Control.
