    Hello.
I have not found a meaningful topic on the internet for my problem. Well, I have a funbox in the first version (not 2.0) VDSL internet up to 80+ TV with a decoder. I send the Internet around the house (single-family) only via Wi-Fi, I cannot use the cable. Only a set-top box and a TV are connected to the Funbox.

The problem is that the funbox has terrible performance and wi-fi range, even when I bought a rather expensive network card for the computer, I have a disconnected connection on the floor, and the fanbox is right below me. I tried everything and to no avail.

Now the question is, can I buy a second router with better range and performance, which will be connected with an ethernet cable and only it will send wi-fi around the house, and the decoder will be connected as it was to the funbox? Apparently, you can also replace the funbox with another VDSL router, but the decoder will not work because Orange is blocking.
Maybe someone will bring me this topic, what can I do. Thanks in advance

You have several options, from WiFi signal repairers (there are different types) to connecting another router with better WiFi, it all depends on what is more convenient and better for you from an economic point of view.

I personally use a WiFi amplifier for FunBox2.0 and it gives a lot when it comes to WiFi range, previously I also used a second router, but it must already be connected to the FunBox, and the amplifier does not.

So I can buy a normal router without VDSL and it will work? Do I need a VDSL modem for finishing?

You can run the decoder on another router, but without a guarantee of operation. Install inSSIDer 2.x on your computer and show the screenshot from it.

But instead of Funbox? It's not, it has to be VDSL but the TV will not work, in addition, you can buy any router, but you may have a problem to pair the decoder with a new router, as far as I know, they pair with WPS. It worked for me like that, but sometimes the decoder disconnected, lost the network.

@ Lejos44 - if you don't want to use Funbox, you need to buy a router with VDSL modem. Plus what a colleague wrote @makosuu about compatibility with TV service and VoIP phone.
However, if you want to connect the devices by cable, it can be any router with a WAN port or even an AP (access point). I do not recommend solutions with amplifiers because it is asking for trouble.

One more short question. There is no "WAN" input on Funbox or I don't know it and it is under a different name. Unless I can connect two routers with a LAN. The ports look like this (photo from the net) https://obrazki.elektroda.pl/8449042900_1537599674.jpg

The WAN of the Funbox is a DSL line, i.e. ADSL or VDSL over a telephone cable.
You can connect the Funbox's LAN to your router's WAN - in router mode.
In AccesPointa mode, it is LAN with LAN.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the Funbox 1.0 VDSL router, particularly its poor Wi-Fi range and performance in a single-family home setup. Users suggest various solutions, including the use of Wi-Fi amplifiers and the possibility of connecting a second router with better performance. It is clarified that while a non-VDSL router can be used, it may not guarantee compatibility with the TV decoder due to restrictions from the service provider, Orange. The Funbox's WAN port is identified as the DSL line, and users are advised on how to connect the Funbox to a new router, either in router mode or access point mode.
