Netia VV5822 Router: Port Forwarding for NoIP.com App & Android Access with DUC - VPN Required?

Best answers

Can I enable port forwarding or DDNS on this Netia router to reach my home PC from Android, or do I need a VPN instead?

You most likely need full admin access to the router first; the basic user account does not give complete control, so if port forwarding is hidden or unavailable, contact Netia/Internetia support and ask them to check the router or provide the admin login, otherwise use another router [#17862206][#17862613] One reply says this is a leased, provider-managed device, so you cannot change everything from the user account, and the service desk may need to log in for you [#17862613] Another reply notes that on this ADB/Netia router the menu is poor, DMZ is visible, and port forwarding should exist in admin mode, which suggests the limitation is access level rather than No-IP itself [#17862634]

Is it possible to do port forwarding on this router to use Noip.com or have they blocked this option?
Alternatively, the easiest way with the use of a computer (as a server for the DUC application from Noip.com) to make it possible to use an Android cell to hammer this computer from DUC on the local network by mobile. Will a paid VPN be the only solution?

To Router from a computer in the local network, but has a very poor menu, even in expert mode. There is nothing to VPN nor does it have port forwarding. There is only a DMZ zone in which I choose this computer from DUC, I do not want to remember the choice and create a DMZ; / b

Because you are logging in as user user ;)

The firmware is net-based, you won't do anything without this data. The password for adb is different for each play, there is no master password that you can find somewhere on the internet ;)

I know the password and log in to the user :D And even changed from the start password myself.

The question is why the DMZ won't remember me? I set the permissions on the non-admin router? All in all, I didn't change anything except the password. And is there a Fordwarding port in it? I searched through all the categories and found nothing like that there even on this non-basic fish.

Don't you understand, the user account is just a basic setup. You will not have full access to this router because it is not owned by you, but you have it on lease. You can always report a problem to the hotline, perhaps they will direct this report to the service. If the gentlemen from the site call, ask for the password to the admin account, if they do not give you, you can ask them to log in to your router and check if the option you are asking for is available. If it does not work, replace the router :)

I love you so much eggs that they took the admin :) It's really going to be easier to buy a router ;) And what can I mess with it that they took the admin rights? :D

Okay, I found the password on the net, note :D DD And it works :D

Rather, you can not mess up anything, even if you were "Janusz" of technology, the factory reset will restore your access. It's a company policy, you have what you need wifi settings etc. Come on, I'm surprised because port forwarding should be. Are you a client of Netia, Internetia or Dialog? Twisted pair or PON service?

So, do you have an ADB router or a Netia spot?

Internetia with an agreement signed on Netia's website; p. In fact, it is now one company anyway.
    ADB twisted pair.

Despite the addition of the computer ports, I redirected from port 80 to 9, something still does not work.
When I check the address with noip, the port is still blocked. I have already added everything on the admin account.
And even tried on other ports. I do not know if the operator's fault or in NoIP I chose weak servers with names. I tried on three different domains.

Any tips on how to best check if NoIP works on a given computer. And which server to choose the domain best?
Which external port should I redirect to? The inland port wants traffic to be 7 or 9.

In this ADB router, there is probably no option in the menu, even on the admin, to enter DDNS permanently? Instead of a computer fired up and a server with NoIP on it?

Unless NOIP is no longer the same when purchased by Microsoft. Possibly you can recommend any competitions?

I want the easiest way to make the cell visible in the local network. I want to make OpenVPN and since I have a variable IP I have to figure out something with NoIP. Unless it can be otherwise. Finally, I want to get WOL from a distance, so I have to redirect to port 7 or 9 to run the Magic Pack.

Unless you can buy a fixed IP address not necessarily from your operator ;) .

And you know that Internetia gives you an address for free that does not change ;) ? Well, unless you have a 20mb packet, you get the address 100.108.xx what is the beginning of the ip address? Where did you think that you have an ip variable? I also have an internet connection constantly ip, without a guarantee that it will not change, but for 3 years I have had the same ;)

Connecting to 192.xxxxx ... Could not connect to the host on port 23: Connection has failed

How can I get telnet to the router? Did I manage to get to the router with the standard built-in telnet in the computer or putty.

In the router options I did not find an option to enable or disable telnet or other logging to the router.

I would like to do it at home. However, I have a problem at the very connection :) I do not know how to run the Telnet server in this router so that the client from the computer has something to connect to :P

    Yes, I handle it :)

Both the computer and the US.
Finally, I want to fire US after WOL at a distance; p

For now, the only solution that works.
It is a computer run from the Wifi plug in the local network. Later, I fire from my cell outside the local TeamViewer network and use it to launch an app on the computer to Wol, which wakes us up. And everything works.

It only does not work if I want to do it in a simpler and more automatic way, e.g. something with OpenVPN plus Ddns with Noip. I do not know if the router is blocking me all, or if I will not do it permanently in the router table, it will not work. On the router I added what ports to pass through. I even permanently entered DDnsy in the router, so it should even be done without starting the computer to wake NAS up remotely.

The easiest way to check if the domain from Noip.com works for me? ;)

Not locally from the computer, I tried to get to the router via telnet to set the IP of the computer or other device to WOL, so that the location in the router would be permanently saved. Just like in this video. However, the client on Windows cannot enter the router. I do not know what I did not set up there to send the router something on port 23 or for a moment to become a server so that you can enter arp tables in it.

WOL on the local wifi works for me either from a computer or from a mobile phone. I only have a problem with how to make it all work from outside the local network :)

Added after 1 [hours] 8 [minutes]:

It still doesn't work yet ;)
However, I found the culprit :)
Something was blocked by the built-in firewall in windows. After switching all options to the house, I was able to establish an OpenVPN connection between the cell and the server created on the PC after Lte. I have green on my computer, and on the Success cell. The IP address entered in the server's OpenVPN is one with a home I created in Noip ;)
However, I still do not know if I am closer or further Wola beyond Ian.
Despite the changes in the firewall, I still can't get to the tables on the router.

As long as I have a green computer in OpenVPN and a success in my cell. How can I check with my mobile phone if I am in the local network? Possibly what I can run on the cell to see the effect on the computer :) .
Alternatively, is it possible to somehow check if you are in the local network by launching the browser in your mobile phone? Call up router or NAS configuration page?

FAQ

TL;DR: "Well, unless you have a 20mb packet, you get the address 100.108.xx"; users also report 3 years with unchanged IP. If you’re not behind CGNAT, use admin port forwarding, DDNS, or a VPN for Android access. [Elektroda, miniw0w, post #17874712]

Why it matters: For Netia VV5822 owners, this clarifies port forwarding, DDNS, WOL, and whether a paid VPN is needed.

Quick Facts

Can I enable port forwarding on the Netia VV5822, or is it blocked?

Yes, but only with admin access. The user-level login exposes basic options and hides advanced features like forwarding. ISPs often lease and manage these routers, so ask support for admin access or to apply the change. If they refuse, consider using your own router behind the modem or requesting a swap. Without admin, DMZ/forwarding changes may not persist. [Elektroda, miniw0w, post #17862613]

Why doesn’t the DMZ setting stick on my VV5822?

Because you’re logged in as a limited user. The ISP-managed profile cannot save advanced changes. “The user account is just a basic setup.” Contact the hotline and ask them to test or apply settings from their side, or request admin access. If not possible, replace the router or run your own downstream router. [Elektroda, miniw0w, post #17862613]

Do I need a paid VPN to reach my PC/NAS from Android?

No. You can run OpenVPN on your PC or NAS and connect your phone remotely. Ensure Windows Firewall allows OpenVPN; this fixed the connection for the poster. Use DDNS (e.g., No-IP) to reach your changing IP. Once connected, you’re effectively on the home LAN and can access services securely. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17878000]

How do I verify my phone is really on my home LAN over VPN?

Try this:
  1. Connect the VPN on your phone until it shows “Connected/Success.”
  2. In the phone’s browser, open your router UI (e.g., 192.168.x.1) or NAS page.
  3. Access a known LAN service or ping a LAN host to confirm reachability. If these work, you’re on the LAN. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17878000]

How do I check if my No-IP hostname is working and the port is open?

First, confirm the hostname resolves to your public IP. Then use No-IP’s Port Check to test the target port from outside your network. Ensure the service is listening on your PC/NAS and that the router forwards the port to the correct LAN IP. If the port still shows closed, you may be behind CGNAT or blocked by a firewall. [“No-IP Port Check Tool”]

Is Telnet available on the VV5822 to set ARP/WOL entries?

No accessible Telnet service was found. Attempts to connect to port 23 failed, and the UI lacks a Telnet enable option. Provider-customized firmware usually disables Telnet/SSH. Use the web interface for supported features, or manage ARP/WOL from a device on your LAN instead. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17876948]

Which ports should I forward for Wake-on-LAN (WOL)?

Forward UDP 7 or 9 to the target device’s LAN IP. Some routers do not forward to the broadcast address, which can break WOL from WAN. If forwarding still fails, use VPN and send the magic packet from inside the LAN, or trigger WOL from a NAS or always-on host. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17863159]

Port tests show closed even after I set forwarding. What’s wrong?

Check your WAN IP. If it begins with 100.108.xx, you are on carrier-grade NAT. Inbound port forwarding cannot work through CGNAT. Request a public IP from your ISP or use a VPN solution instead. Users also reported stable public IPs for years on some plans. [Elektroda, miniw0w, post #17874712]

I can’t edit the router’s ARP table for WOL. Any workaround?

Without Telnet/SSH, you can’t add ARP entries on the router. Use a VPN and send the magic packet from an internal device, or have a NAS/always-on PC issue WOL. As an alternative, many users automate wake via smart plugs or remote desktop workflows. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17876948]

Do I need a static IP, or will DDNS suffice on Internetia/Netia?

DDNS usually suffices. One user reported the same public IP for 3 years, though no guarantee exists. If your WAN IP is public and stable, DDNS plus forwarding or VPN works well. Request a public IP if you see a CGNAT address. Static IP is optional for most home needs. [Elektroda, miniw0w, post #17874712]

What’s the easiest way to wake my NAS/PC remotely?

Use OpenVPN to join your LAN from Android, then send a WOL packet to your NAS/PC MAC. The poster also succeeded with a fallback: power on a local PC (smart plug), connect via TeamViewer, and trigger WOL internally. VPN is simpler long-term once firewall rules are correct. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17877991]

Does the VV5822 support DDNS like No-IP in firmware?

Yes, but only visible in admin mode. The user later confirmed they could enter DDNS directly in the router after gaining admin access. If you lack admin, run the No-IP DUC on a PC as a workaround. [Elektroda, voodoo69, post #17877991]
