Hello, I am looking for an inverter welder for home use. There is a lot of equipment, but what to choose. Recently, I noticed the WELD MASTER 330A TIG INVERTER WELDER for PLN 340 or someone had already dealt with it. I also had to deal with the MacCalister 200A welder. MacCalister costs PLN 600 for it. I will be satisfied practically for the price. There aren't many opinions in googles.

Buddy, the very fact of the 16A protection is, unfortunately, the declared 330A welding current has nothing to do with the description of the inverter itself from your link. I have a welder with a declared power of 200A, which needs a 16A protection. So where are you going to get the 330A. It's the same as in the description that the capacitors never lose their capacity. Total nonsense in the description of the auction. For domestic use, it is as suitable as any other model at this price.

One thing is for sure, it certainly does not have a 330A, I think that when it will have 200A it's good. But skip this equipment, not because it won't weld, because it will probably weld as well as other devices at this price, but because you will have a problem with precisely setting the welding current. Due to the fact that the manufacturer has scaled it to 330A, when it has 100% less, the display will never show the real value.

In case you have cheaper in their shop, enter narzedzia.net Gentlemen, as you say. for home use / home workshop, this equipment is ok, whether it has the 330A or not - I do not know. I have it and I do not complain, it works well and I am satisfied. From this price range, most of the equipment is the same factories and other stickers. However, I can recommend this model because I tested it myself and I think that if someone is not a professional, there is no need to overpay

I have exactly that model. It broke after using it several times - about 30 electrodes in total.

I also have such a model. It is definitely not the declared ampere. However, for home welding it can be. However, I recommend Dedra 200A. I welded it a lot and it works better than the one with supposedly more amps. Of course, if you keep welding for a long time, the thermal protection will work. Therefore, I advise against professional welding. However, it is definitely better inverter than transformer.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the comparison of two inverter welders for home use: the Weld Master 330A TIG and the MacCalister 200A. Users express skepticism about the Weld Master’s claimed 330A capacity, suggesting it may only deliver around 200A, which raises concerns about its accuracy in current settings. Some users report satisfactory performance for home projects, while others warn of potential reliability issues, citing personal experiences of equipment failure after limited use. Recommendations include considering the Dedra 200A as a potentially better alternative for home welding tasks. Overall, the consensus indicates that while both models may suffice for non-professional use, users should be cautious about the specifications and performance claims.
