I used JBL bluetooth headphones some time ago and I did not notice that they sounded softer than the cable amplification on the headphones. Check somewhere in the sound options on the phone if bluetooth is not muted or some equalizer is not turned on. Greetings.

I do not know about HTC, but in my phone, when I connect a bluetooth device and turn on, for example, mp3 separately, I can turn up the bluetooth sound.

I have contacted HTC, but they do not even know what is compatible and that quiet playing should not work in bluetooth headphones.
