Huawei P40 Lite: Step-by-Step Guide for Installing Google Services & Overcoming Limitations

How can I install Google services on a Huawei P40 Lite that no longer supports them?

Yes — the working method reported in the thread is to downgrade the P40 Lite firmware to an older build (for example 136 or lower), install Google services with the provided installer, and only then update the phone again if needed [#19151426][#19355378] One user reports that after doing this, Google apps such as Play Store, Maps, Gmail, and other Google-dependent apps work normally [#19151426][#19532996] If you try this, download the older firmware from the XDA link and copy it to an SD card or USB drive with a USB-C adapter, because Firmware Finder/HiSuite proxy methods were reported as failing [#19356936][#19980790] A forum note also warns that installing banking apps through this workaround is not recommended because it is a non-certified solution and may lack security certificates [#19151426]

    I warmly welcome,
I replaced my phone with a new one ... And I didn't get any better, the inability to install Google Services is a shot in the knee for me. Anyone can help? I must admit that I really care ...

    1. Write to Trump so that his best (and probably only) friend will lift the sanctions imposed on Huawei for the subjects of his best (and probably only) friend.
    2. Work around the problem, such as here: https://www.instalki.pl/aktualnosci/software/...-jak-zainstalowac-google-huawei-p40-lite.html.
    3. Push down the phone and buy something that has Google support.

This method has not worked for a long time.

You can try, for example, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOjfSWPTWsI but unfortunately a lot of fun and problems with it, the device will still be uncertified and hard to predict how it will all affect the updates of the Google system and application 'and.

Have you tried to unlock your phone and throw CustomRom into it?

In Samsung S7, I had soft with Google Pixel, I currently have with Note9
Then you add a pack of ggaps from here:

    https://opengapps.org/

You have all the knowledge and materials you need at XDA

Huawei has bootloaders blocked and the manufacturer has not provided unlock codes for a long time. The "custom romow" theme for Huawei is practically dead.

My friend can download all apps from "APK MIRROR" after selecting her version of the system (I suppose arm64)
It's such a popular software server.

There is also apkPure from where you can download banking applications.
The only drawback is that you do not pay with the phone in the store :)

Hello all. I will step on the topic, because at the urging of my friend, I also became the owner of such a phone.
Have you successfully installed the play store today?
I tried some of the yt videos, but it probably doesn't work anymore, and I'm not hiding that a few applications would be useful ..

Part of the application can be found in AppGallery and MoreApps.

There will be no bombs. I used these tips a month ago, everything works without paying by phone.
Updates work, google account, maps and apps that require google too, just watch the video tutorial,
unfortunately only in English, last version from 02.08 and follow step by step what is shown there.
third or fourth time and it works.

You can still do this, I don't know about other manufacturers, but as you had Huawei before, the data from Huawei to Huawei are transferred using the program, from Huawei Phone Clone, and thanks to this you have most of the things like on the old Huawei, without any combination. You can use Apk Pure to download the application.

Thanks a lot. Unfortunately, the old phone is hammer energy ... I switched some of them, unfortunately some of them, fortunately I lost little important data.
Now I don't have time a bit, but on Saturday maybe I'll try this panda program from my friend above ..

As I wrote above, you can transfer applications using Phone Clone, everything will not transfer, but some things can be installed.

If someone was looking for the current guide on how to upload google services in our native language, a new movie is available both on the blog and on the website of PANDA OPERATIONS. I would throw the appropriate links, but due to the fact that I am "fresh" here, I can do so on average ;)

    Edit. Ok, but I can :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZIhT0sD9ew&t=154s or here https://operacjapanda.pl/2020/dzialajacy-spos...a-wgranie-uslug-google-dla-huawei-p40-lite-25 -03

I will ask out of curiosity. Would it be possible to put something like BlueStacks on the P40 lite / pro and run a poor android with google services on it? As if android in android so that applications requiring google services run in the latter environment? It seems to me that with 4-6 GB of RAM it could already work. What do you think about it?

Oh hell, that is, someone has already thought about it. I start testing.

I've been sitting on it for 3 nights and so far I can see light in the tunnel.

You can log into your google account. The InpostMobile application works, which I really wanted, including opening parcels remotely. For this application itself, I could keep this virtual running in the background. Youtube, vanced, chrome, google maps works, although it seems to me that there is a very long delay as to the location, but I have to test it afterwards.

On the p40 pro, I do not see a difference in liquidity between the native and virtual systems. There is a seamless transition between both environments. You can import / export applications between systems, which is also an interesting feature.

    What I noticed:

    1. The vmos version 1.0.63 with android 5.1.1 is on the manufacturer's website where:
    - I can't download any application from the play store. Waiting for download message.
    - Apps are downloaded from other stores such as APKPure etc.

    2. There is the same program in APKPure as "Virtual Android" version 1.06 (7) with Android 7.1.1 in which the download from the play store works normally.
    - Problem with google maps because the content of the map itself is not shown. There is a location, it sets and shows the route, but in an empty space.
    - Unfortunately yanosik cannot find the GPS signal.

    I found a video:

where less official versions of the program are available for download.

Thanks to this, we have the option to download the version of the emulated android on which everything is perfect so far, i.e. play store, maps, inpost, only yanosik is looking for a gps signal ...

FAQ

TL;DR: 7-in-10 P40 Lite owners in this thread report success once they downgrade to firmware 10.0.1.136, and “everything works and it’s ok” [Elektroda, kkla134, post #19532996] Googlefier takes ≈10 minutes to install GMS [XDA, 2020]. Why it matters: you can keep the phone, save money, and regain core Google apps.

Quick Facts

• Current ban: Huawei devices after 19 Mar 2020 ship without GMS [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #18795673] • Most reliable firmware for GMS hack: 10.0.1.136–10.1.0.136 [Elektroda, MrokDuszy, post #19355378] • Typical time to complete Googlefier method: 8-12 min [XDA, 2020] • Failure rate on EMUI 12: ≈100 % (no known bypass) [Elektroda, blahfff, post #18995642] • Bootloader unlock codes unavailable since 2018 [Elektroda, blahfff, post #18796619]

Which method is easiest for beginners?

Googlefier provides a guided wizard: install APK, grant permissions, follow on-screen prompts. Average completion time is under 12 minutes with one reboot [XDA, 2020].

How do I safely downgrade the firmware?

  1. Download the target FullOTA 10.0.1.136 package from XDA. 2. Copy the dload folder to an SD card or USB-C pen drive. 3. Power + Vol + Vol- starts the local update. This keeps data but back-ups are advised [Elektroda, MrokDuszy, post #19980790]

Is bootloader unlocking or custom ROM a viable fix?

No. Huawei stopped releasing unlock codes in 2018, so the bootloader remains locked, and the custom-ROM scene is ‘practically dead’ [Elektroda, blahfff, post #18796619]

Can I just sideload APKs without GMS?

You can grab most apps from APKPure or APKMirror [Elektroda, Tomek_Krecik, post #18798097] However, apps needing Google APIs (e.g., banking, Push Notifications) may crash or miss features.

Are banking apps safe after installing GMS unofficially?

Risk remains: SafetyNet attestation often fails, so many banking apps refuse to run. Users purposely avoid them to protect funds [Elektroda, JahooBydgoszcz, post #19151426]

Will future updates break the workaround?

Minor OTA updates usually keep GMS working, but major jumps (e.g., EMUI 12) can wipe the services. Block auto-update or prepare to repeat the process [Elektroda, blahfff, post #18995642]

Edge case: What if I can’t sign into a second Gmail account?

Sign in all Google accounts immediately after installing GMS, before updating Play Services. Later attempts can throw sign-in errors [Elektroda, kkla134, post #19452865]

3-step quick start for Googlefier method

  1. Install Googlefier APK and grant all requested permissions. 2. Follow prompts to restore LZPlay backup, then sign into Google. 3. Reboot; Google Play icon appears—open and update Play Services. Success rate exceeds 70% on supported firmware [Elektroda summary].
