[Solved] Locating Serial Port on Chinese NVR Board NBD7808R-PL After Admin Password Loss

hi guys.

I have a chinese nvr board nbd7808r-pl and the owner lost the admin password. I have tried all the software i could find but the date on it is 2020 and apparently none of the password generators work. Also it does not show the key i saw in some images to generate the password after that but a QR code.

I was thinking of using the erase mtd method but i have a bit of trouble in finding the serial port.

i am attaching the pictures of the motherboard maybe somebody can help. Do i need an adapter for the Serial port? i have one based on max 232 that works for my alarm system and other UART based boards.

The 4 pins next to the CPU are 5, GND, TX, RX. And the line is TTL so you need a TTL to USB converter.
Once the connections are in place when one connects the serial port over putty at 115200 Baud you will see the output from the NVR.

From there is one more step. Search google for "XM Device Explorer" a little piece of software made by some russian guys and with that you can do the erase MTD and voila no more password.
