    Hello.
    For several days I have been wondering what MESH system to buy for a house with an area of 100m^2 and I would like to ask you colleagues for advice.
    Budget up to PLN 1,000, it can be 3-point (although it doesn't have to) and the speed is good enough for 4K movies to run without any obstacles.
    The house is two-story.
    I am waiting for proposals :)

    Local AP connected by wire to the main router.
    Mesh is nothing more than marketing gibberish about wifi amplifiers.
    Amplifiers stopped selling, Mesh producers came up with it (they just forgot to bend space-time and break the laws of physics).

    Take a look at Allegro in the departments of large stores, in the outlet section and see how many returns there are for this whole Mesh.

    The Chinese TPlink also has it, but I don't know it from my own experience.

    You can power even a Gigabit POE converter and you only have a twisted pair on the way to the device.

    As there is no option to pull wires, I think the mesh option is great. My cousin bought a m4 deco and is very happy with the simple configuration, no cables, no dead zones, I'm looking for Tenda MW6 myself because it's cheaper.

    If possible, run cables from the main router to places with poor coverage and place local access points there. This is the best possible way. If you have the money, I recommend Unifi UAP. If you have lower requirements, it can be TP-Link Deco. However, when buying a Deco, don't even think about this crap with radio links and MESH. These are fairy tales for naive children (Facebook viewers and funny cats). This operating mode is not suitable for professional network use. Deco is to be connected with a cable and selected in the settings to work as an access point.
    If it would be really impossible to lay the wires then you can look at PLC adapters and data transfer over the mains (There are also good APs with integrated PLC, like the Deco P9).

    Tenda MW6 2-pack arrived today. I was afraid if 2 cubes would be enough for the whole house, and it turned out that 1 is enough :) I turned on the second one just to make the signal above 80%. To sum up, the wifi router + reapter was replaced by one cube that gave a better range. It is true that I do not have a big house, but a two-story building would be jumped by one cube :) . So I don't know how it turned out, but I am very happy with MESHA, come on Tenda, there are no advanced configuration options, i.e. if you are an ordinary blacksmith, Tenda is enough for you, if you want to play with configurations, you need to buy something more expensive.

    We have 2 main mesh systems:
    1. Twisted-pair satellites are managed by a controller - the most efficient solution, but for people who have the basics and some patience.
    2. Less efficient, but completely simple - usually 2 or 3 packs. We connect the first one to the network, and the rest wirelessly.

    There are many cheaper solutions on the WiFi mesh market, but from experience I only recommend those that have K/V/R implemented. Then, regardless of what hardware and software platform you have, the signal switches automatically and is taken care of by the satellites, not your hardware.

    Currently, the cheapest solution is Tenda MW12.

    A better solution is KVR based on 2.4/5 and a dedicated 6 GHz band for mutual data transfer.
    The so-called 2.4/5/6 GHz Triband is the best option for the regular user. Where the number of devices supported correctly is 60, and the maximum can be up to 90 without much delay.
    I recommend the option of 3 satellites minimum to a maximum of 12 in the case of this Tenda MW12.

    4 satellites easily cover old and new buildings in an area of 300 m2 and this is a very good result. Switching 1 Gbit over optical fiber and moving on to the first satellite gives us 700 Mbit on the S23 ultra, so it is very decent. At the furthest ends it drops to about 500 Mbit.

    PLC, on the other hand, is a simple and very effective solution, but you need to remember 2 things:
    - Very large drops and relatively low speeds - 100 Mbit is the maximum at the moment for reputable companies.
    - The installation must be done well and in one phase.

    Here, WiFi mesh is incredibly more effective for the same money.
