Hello. I would like to buy a generator for an apartment. The device would be used during the "crisis" by operating small household appliances such as a dryer, etc.

How much power is enough and which manufacturer is valued? There are small aggregates below 3kW on the market
Is it worth paying extra for an aggregate that would also support larger household appliances, e.g. a fridge?

Thank you for your answers, best regards

A hair dryer can actually draw more power than a refrigerator.

Hello, this is how the generator is supposed to be for the apartment (balcony) and I will immediately answer the question that raises doubts. I expect that when such a device is launched, the neighbors will stop saying good morning ;-) .

My father-in-law is looking for this, because his wife is panicking that the worst is coming. Let's skip the issues of reason and whether such a future awaits us - I have to "embrace" such a unit. Hence, I am asking you this bizarre question, which aggregate will be suitable for such a situation to pull the basic devices in the apartment.

Budget - I think we are looking for the cheapest option that will fulfill the task - if it is PLN 5,000, please explain why, whether it is worth paying extra from PLN 3,000 to PLN 5,000, etc. Because there will be something cheaper on the market, but will it be enough to "survive" ?

I generally don't know, I used generators in the garage, but I don't even remember what power it was. I connected it, it did the job with the grinder and that's all my knowledge and experience.

    Regards.
