If it were as you write and the law (above) is so obvious why the sellers themselves in their ads write that this is not an offer. They do it because they are bored ... or because they know cases of lost court cases.

Would you seriously buy a car based on a photo?

Personally, I've never bought it. A friend bought a Volvo SUV from the states (hybrid to boot). B.satisfied.
I admit that I saw the car and .... I'm going to ask him how it's done because it's a pretty decent copy. Maybe he was lucky.

So that those unaware of Art. 71 of the Civil Code, like you, they did not go to court. It's no fun even when you win.

Ads are just advertising. Advertising can be misleading (this is very common these days). No reasonable person buys blindly based only on advertising. Only after the purchase, you can demand the preservation of the parameters, but not from the advertisement, but from the instruction manual (or other document) attached to the purchased item with the technical data contained therein.

Read the regulations of the portals .... There used to be a boat for PLN 5 or a car for PLN 2 or a piece of a car for PLN 30,000, that's why it changed once because there were a lot of extensions either as to buyers or sellers. That's why they changed it legally from such an advertisement is only an incentive to buy information.

And we get to the point. That is, before these regulations and provisions in advertisements, this practice was undermined by the court due to the provisions of the Civil Code, and that is why they introduced such restrictions. But according to the CC, they should not apply. Here we have an obvious scam - the guy used a good VIN number to get someone to buy this car.

If you buy a bike on OLX (highlander in the photo) and instead of a highlander a folding bike will come .... then who is right - there is a bike, you can also ride it in the mountains. ? Who will the court decide and is the OLX announcement a proof?

Have you ever bought a new car from the first year of production?
many people buy like that .... based on what .... 20 years of ADAC tests? Is it based on an ad?

Toyotas don't break down. That's what I've been buying Toyotas for years.

If he buys remotely, he has the right to return if the product is not the expected one and even without giving a reason. In the described case, the buyer bought the car in person and it was his duty to check whether the car he was buying was the one from the advertisement. As it turned out, he bought a different copy (different VIN) than the one in the advertisement. He couldn't have bought it. He bought the one he actually saw, not the one advertised. The documents were in line with reality and not with the announcement.

I've bought a new car in a showroom a few times and it wasn't a Toyota. Ads don't work for everyone the way they do for you.

I fart had to log in to the account from 2008 on the electrode, because I couldn't look at a lot of posts like Janusz from the armchair evaluates and instead of helping the case, he writes shit in 2022 like "I don't know myself, but I'd love to say and evaluate".. .

If you haven't cleared your browser history, maybe you can still do it, and if not, I'll help the future ones who find this SPAM here.
In such cases, it is best to take a simple step as soon as possible:
Display a copy of the page saved in the memory, e.g. Google Chrome
    Source link: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/1687222?hl=en
In short: go to the google browser page, eg www.google.pl and enter in the "search" field literally a link to our inactive page, eg on olxsie.
After searching in this way, google will of course find our website and suggest moving to the same link, but instead of clicking directly on it, expand "more" on the right side and press "copy" (I'm adding a screenshot) How to see an inactive ad on OLX from 07/17/2022

If you want something more advanced, I recommend the site:
    https://web.archive.org/

Here you will not find an archive of pages for olx, allegro, blogs or others (they change too dynamically), but if you had a website of some company in 2001, a forum, e.g. elektroda.pl, you can see it, for example:
    https://web.archive.org/web/20010720230546/https://elektroda.pl/

3be there in this changing internet and long live the old beloved eletrode!
    Regards
    Urban

    Good afternoon,
I see I'm not the only one having a problem with a disappearing ad, hence the find request:
    https://www.olx.pl/d/oferta/opel-meriva-1-4-t...ve=0&reason=observed_ad&sliderIndex=5

Classically - the ad is no longer there and the car has a faulty engine which came out after an oil change :(

    best regards

@misiek1111 gold manager, I can't find this ad https://www.olx.pl/d/oferta/renault-kango-1-4-CID5-ID10XxU4.html in the webarchive and I would like to write to the owner if he is still selling because it was hanging around for a while (yesterday i.e. 23.07.2024 it was still active) and it disappeared and maybe it just expired - if you managed to get something out I would be grateful =)

    edit
I also don't know if I manage to find phone numbers, because the user even if I probably find one, it is not possible on this wonderful olx to send a message to someone without an ad

Thank you and 50 points for my colleague, unfortunately the number is not visible (it is downloaded from the api only after clicking show number, probably) but I confirmed the user, I will add him to the observed and maybe he will write something again

For 79PLN it is not worth looking for....

Advertisement for BOSCH AeroTwin Astra C4 wipers on OLX website.

    But... the announcement is fresh.
FOR a few days maybe it will show up aggregated in yandex or wherever....

ok - thanks I thought there was an option somewhere for a quick peek - if it's a lot of work as you write it's a waste of energy
    thanks!

Topic summary

The discussion centers on the challenge of accessing inactive or deleted advertisements on OLX, specifically an ad from July 17, 2022, related to a vehicle sale with discrepancies in the VIN number. OLX does not maintain an official archive of inactive ads, making direct retrieval impossible. Some users suggest checking browser history, using web archives like the Wayback Machine, or searching cached versions via search engines such as Google or Yandex. However, success is limited and often depends on how long the ad was active and whether it was archived externally. For legal disputes involving fraudulent ads or VIN mismatches, the consensus is to report the case to the police, as only law enforcement can officially request data from OLX or Otomoto archives. The discussion also highlights that advertisements are considered invitations to negotiate rather than binding offers under civil law, complicating claims based solely on ad content. Several examples of vehicle brands and models are mentioned in relation to similar cases, emphasizing the importance of verifying VINs and vehicle condition before purchase. Community members share methods for recovering ad content, including screenshots and third-party archives, but note limitations and the need for prompt action after ad removal.
