Hi I have an Audi A3 2000 1.6 petrol BFQ/AVU. It starts but it won't respond good on throttle. I've changed the camshaft position sensor 3 times and still the same if I disconnect the sensor nothing happens. So I suspect a wire break?
Trying to find a wiring diagram with no luck.

Decide what engine you have. Avu has a shaft sensor under the shaft gear and a bfq under the throttle

The BFQ appeared from the 2003 model year. The title was 2000, unless the engine was changed.

    From model year 2001
    Says from the year 2001!
    Mine is made 2000/10!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a throttle response issue in a 2000 Audi A3 1.6 petrol engine (engine codes BFQ/AVU). The user reports that the vehicle starts but does not respond well to throttle input, despite replacing the camshaft position sensor three times. There is suspicion of a wiring issue, as disconnecting the sensor yields no change in performance. Participants in the discussion clarify the engine specifications, noting that the AVU engine has a shaft sensor located under the shaft gear, while the BFQ has its sensor under the throttle. There is confusion regarding the engine model year, with indications that the BFQ engine was introduced in 2003, while the user's vehicle is from 2000.
