Hey, got a Sony KD-65S8505C Android TV for a decent price, turned it on at home, all good, after 20 min of working decided to do a factory reset and set it up with my accounts. The factory reset took ~10 min and after that it started boot looping Sony logo, 1 s the Android circles and restarting.
Was not aware of the trick with the USB firmware and so I tried the power + volume up trick for a few times and then gave up, unplugged it.
Now it does not do anything anymore. No light, no logo, nothing.
Tried the USB firmware from 16 and 8GB stick with no luck.
Hooked up a power monitor and when plugging it in, it draws 1 AMP for 1 - 2 seconds, then drops to a constant 0.20 Amps and does nothing.
Called a few repair shops around and all said that they can fix it, but the Netflix app will be gone after that due to the fact that it's on the encrypted part of the CI and there is no way to repair that.
Any good tips on what else to try? Will get a 4GB USB drive, as I heard that would do it for some users, if not I would try a new motherboard but is there a good way to check if that's the problem?
Cheers
