    Hello,
I have purchased an electronic cat feeder - Catit Pixi, supposedly a nice device and supposed to be functional but already at the installation stage a failure.
    - It requires a connection to WiFi, but nowhere is the MAC given (no sticker) and to access my router it is necessary so I will not connect and without it I will not do anything and I will not see "electronically" what MAC it has.
Device to be returned, not usable as yet. While a similar problem occurred with ChromeCast, for example, but here it was possible to view the MAC in the application, in the case of the Pixi there is no such possibility and contacting support is a mistake.
I've tried to share WiFi from my phone and connect to it but it claims it doesn't support the 5GHz band, only 2.4GHz even though the network is on the 2.4GHz band - well, just miracles.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to suspect the MAC of this wonder?
    Regards

Install a wifi analyser on your phone. Under the tab, access points should show the MAC address without a network connection.

I understand that you have to enter the MAC into the table for the router to assign an IP? Try to connect without entering the MAC, then in the router logs you should see that some device tries to connect but is rejected and the MAC should be visible.

    Hello,
Exactly, I can switch the router to no MAC control mode and then I will see only, this requires interference with the whole network.
And it was supposed to be so smart :) .
I rather use some old router with an empty network, I tried to share the network from the other phone but it wouldn't connect.
In a nutshell the connection looks like this:
    - on phone #1 I have to install the app
    - this phone has to be connected to the internet (and here it can be a pain) because now when connecting to the feeder I can't choose what I connect to it has to be the same network.
    - I don't know if this will work if there is no internet access as there are some accounts required etc (just what for?)
I can view the MAC on my phone, but I have to connect and so far have not been able to do so.
    Regards
