Homebridge FFmpeg on Raspberry Pi 5 - no motion recording in HomeKit for Anke and Hikvision

I installed Homebridge on a Rasberry PI 5 to be able to support HomeKit cameras. After installing the Homebridge FFmpeg Camera Plugin, I was able to add the Anka and Hikvision cameras to HomeKit. HomeKit allows me to view video from these cameras but does not record video, motion. In HomeKit I have motion recording set but the image does not record.
Do you not know what could be wrong?
