Wireless video/audio TX/RX

I have a senior project idea. Sending and receiving wireless video and audio from home DVD players/consoles to your home theater system.
Assumptions:
1. Transmitter located next to home couch
2. Receiver located next to television
3. Each TX/RX needs 12volts
4. Compress audio and video
5. Use IEEE 802.11 N technology, possibly in parallel
Dependencies:
1. 12v electricity
Constraints:
1. number of bits/second
How am I going to take the audio and video, compress it, encode it, send it, decode it and have it work?

Check out these wireless HD modules from Murata. We saw these in person at CES and they had a live demo where they transmitted HD video and audio across the room. Very impressive to have this capability in a ready-to-go module.

In terms of your requirments, don't get hung up on the 12volts - you can use a switch-mode power supply to produce whatever you need from your main DC source.

Okay I like this product. Now where is the do it yourself instructions like I find on instructables.com ? =)
