guys, m designing a dc soft starter for submarine.
the dc input voltage is 175-320v. how do I decide the R and c values to filter dc. The values of the components are
r---33E,25W Series
connection
c--- Precharge Capacitor Bolted type,680μf, 450Vdc
customized

c'--Anti ripple Capacitor Bolted type, 0.47μf,
2400Vdc

I want the calculations with which the company arrived to these values?

Hi Sohil,

We would need to know the circuit topology for this rc filter. For example if it is a pi filter vs a T filter topology the calculations are different. Upload a circuit diagram and we will help.

i hav added the proposed block diagram .. the dc input is 175-320v as stated earlier..

Try the formula
2*pi*f=1/R*C
Where f=frequency
