about stepper motor control

I am designing the circuit that consist the electronic, software and electrical portion.
My project description is:
1.To take input from finger scanner.
2.Compare the output of scanner with the finger print store in memory.
3. If it get matched with each other,it should produce the signal to run the relay.
else display "wrong person".
4. The output of relay is connected with stepper motor.
This project is basically use for the security purpose, thus i want help from u?

i think the system you are planning can be realiesed using micro controller. for the finger scanning use sunrom finger scanner module. it gives you ttl output. after that to rotate stepper motor a few instructions to be written which are easily available on web.may this help u a little.......
