Greetings,
I'm trying to build a high voltage power supply. I have plugged this into a voltage multiplier I have built using fast recovery diodes and 4.7 uF 450V capacitors and all I can get is 75V DC. The transformer is only producing 11V AC. What is wrong with my design?

Hi Josh,

From what I can see you have no decoupling capacitor between the transistor and the primary coil of the transformer, and you have an DC component also. The transformer core saturates, and you can no longer transfer all the magnetic field you want.
If the frequency is 50 Hz, there is no need for fast recovery diodes, only for better efficiency, since they have a smaller forward voltage drop.

hi,
as i see, i think your schematic is incomplete, try to use scope to view the waves form.
you havn't need to use fest recovery diode, just take care to reverse voltage (max ratings),
then i don't see capacitors!!!!!!!!!
be care too to the frequency generated by the oscillator (your transformer 50Hz@60Hz).

Josh and Samir mentioned the rectifiers but it might not be clear that you need to pay attention to the PRV (Peak Reverse Voltage). Make sure it is roughly double the Peak voltage expected (by your specs: 230V [not sure if that is RMS or Peak to Peak]), if RMS, then your peak voltage will be: 325V so I would use a 600V rectifier such as 1N4005.
