Experiences with Information Unlimited

I'm considering buying some supplies from Information Unlimited, a mail order site that seems to have been around for a long time. (Amazing1.com) The total order price is a whooooole lot of money, though, and as a first-time buyer with IU I'm nervous dropping that kind of cash without knowing more about them. Has anybody ever bought anything from Information Unlimited? How did it go? Did it work okay? Do they have decent customer service if you run into problems with your purchase?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated (and would greatly reduce my pre-buy jitters)! Thanks a ton.

Sorry I haven't used them before myself. But the website looks fairly legitimate. I understand your pre-buy jitters as I've bought goods from Alibaba.com, which is full of dodgy businesses. If you're worried maybe phone them up, talk to their sales team, ask a few innocuous questions, maybe even talk to a member of their customer support team. Maybe instead of making a large buy, it might be an idea to try a smaller order first, if that comes through, then go ahead with ordering the rest.

In the meantime, I hope someone who has used them before posts up and can help you more. All the best with your order. You've kind of got me interested in their stuff now too, I've always been intrigued by Tesla Coils.

In addition to the cautions already suggested I'd suggest you investigate your payment options.
As a general rule never pay by any means which leaves you without some recourse should things go badly wrong.
Two basic & everyday methods that may be suitable to both parties are: Visa (or equivalent) credit card, & Paypal.
In each cast it is possible to have the charges reversed if the seller fails to deliver, or fails to present good "true to description".
Don't under-rate these safeguards, I have used both & achieved speedy resolution, possibly Paypal being the fastest to act.
If the organisation will accept neither, do not trade with them; except in small parcels, where an individual total loss can be tolerated.
