I have an application that needs the ability to send an SMS text message to a client when some set-point is exceeded. It appears that what I need is a GSM and/or GPRS module [this must be standalone--i.e. no access to a computer or other such technology -- it will have access to mains power but that's all].
I've found a few, but they all include voice and all I need is SMS. I'm thinking if I can find a GSM/GPRS module (or some other technology) that only does SMS, it might be cheaper.
Any of you know of such a thing?
