Please see corrections on my site regards setting up Eclipse IDE to develop for Atmel devices Unfortunately today I discovered the latest update doesn’t actually work, although if you did this some time ago this would have been A OK
I should mention is you want at least 2gb of ram to run this and a fairly fast up to date processor and mother bourd min dual core suggested
If you are thinking of developing for android then you will need eclipse for mobile developers The previous versions that have been recommended don’t actually work when you perform updates for some unknown reason
The updates mess up the IDE So here is the correct address of where you can get this from
Make sure you uninstall any previous versions of java before you start new install but then that applies generally
Why they do this I really dont know talk about waste an entire day trying to sort this one out You can imagine what this does to Industry nevermind the frustration or any of the other probelsm this causes just for the sake of checking Still Not to worry we now have a corrected version which works
Again make sure you uninstall previous versions before installing latest edition
It might also help if you perform a registry clean up as well after this to remove any previous entries but thats a little bit of advise from someone who knows just how difficult this gets at times, "Not that i expect to many people take notice but we can but try "
Not exactley what you might term as being helpfull to people whishing to study, initiate assignments ot simply try to take on new skill
Or Costs in internet time Or solving an unemployment crisis where we are facing really hard times ahead
Funny !! No I dont think so either Of course this wasnt the only problem SDCC or small device compiler was uin fact another problem that would not install correctly either
