If I want to know something the first thing i do is use Google then I read up on the subject then if I have any questions or am in a situation where i don’t have access to a PC then I ask openly but normally I search read up on the subject then ask questions possibly to a forum having made some attempt myself


Perhaps what everyone should do is ask loads of questions in a forum having made no attempt at all to even consult a book or a library or encyclopedia and expect everyone to curtsy bow and so forth expecting the mad rushing crowds to run after them with an eternal mop and bucket

You will have to excuse my shear ignorance but I’m really confused at times as to why people are actually bothering after all the people asking these questions don’t seem to bother themselves but simply expect everyone to answer all and expect to do nothing at all themselves bar type in some words into a text area on a webpage

Is this truly the state of our society supposedly whishing to learn

I have to say I absolutely support the message in Mark's "rant".
I think we have covered the same ground before & like Mark I wonder why anyone bothers to answer such questions.

A lot of questions do give the impression that they are directly taken from school homework, and would like us to do the work so that they can just cut and paste and get a good mark.
