The answer yes & NO.

Yes it is a PMA permanent magnet alternator

NO because of its construction with the metal in between the coils that helps to step make it good for elec. control it is not efficient to make electricity and special it takes more energy to start up.

Next to that its bearings are not up to the task to support the forces from wind power.
