I have small test tubes containing 25 micro-liters with a limited amount of space, prohibiting me from placing temperature sensors directly in the liquid. Are there any parts that would allow me to measure this temperature? Another constraint I am facing is that this sensor needs to be less than $20.

Austin,

I'm wondering if there might be another non-contact method to detect the presence of 25 mL of water in the test tube. Is the water, when added, a different temperature than the test tube?

On the experiment if u try to measure small amount of water follow "materials(materials)":http://actpcb.com/Base-Material, first u should be try to evaluate dielectric constant that upon on tube and force of attraction between tube molecule because temperature depends upon strong force of attraction. and should be case sensitive.

Temperature Sensors measure the amount of heat energy or even coldness that is a switch in the thermostat and are used extensively to control hot water heating ... The semiconductor material is generally formed into small pressed discs or dielectric.
