Applications for a voltage transducer ?

I'm a dutch student, and for my assignment I have to find an worked out application of a Voltage Transducer.
I have been looking through the web for the past 2 days now in search of one, but without any succes.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this, perhaps a suggestion where I could find one ?
