Hi guys!
I am looking for a sensor, that can sense object proximity (floor), and produce data of the distance. I have looked into ultrasonic sensors, which are a bit power hungry and bulky.
* small in size, needs to fit in a 1.5" (3 cm) wide and 0.20" (0.5 cm) thick housing.
* low power consumption, runs on a coin cell battery
* nominal range around 8" (20 cm). Can be lower.
The sensor will need to know the current distance of the floor/ground. From this data we should also be able to calculate if the object is approaching floor level too fast.
Would you have any suggestions? Thank you very much guys.
James
