Voltage Fluctuation

Dear All;

Good day. We face a problem of voltage fluctuation at Home. There are two sources there one is from generator and one is from Govt. Source (WAPDA).The WAPDA source only connected with the power circuit like Air conditioner and etc, While generator source only used for lighting load. But the neutral of both are join in the power house permanently

I think this is the problem because when power source turned on and off the lighting voltage fluctuate because neutral may be disturbed.

I want to here clear the point that if WAPDA and generator neutral join to gather then what hapens?

Second how i stop this fluctuation? Is voltage regulator useful to stop this?

Hi Hamad,

Maybe a though rough research would help solve that problem and you should try to coordinate WAPDA for that and plea for your concern on its costumer service. Other than that i have here notes on Power Quality and VOLTAGE FLUCTUATIONS IN THE
