Hi,

I would like to ask whether it is feasible to have a transformer 100 VA (output 28V and 3A) mounted on a PCB (through holes mounting)?

I am not sure if there is a small enough transformer at such power rating. Perhaps two stages stepping down would do the job?

Would be great if you can share some pointers.

Hi Doan,

I am not sure of what type of transformer you're looking.

Try to check it here -> http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/transformers/power-transformers/786735?k=transformer

Just enter the basic specification and hit the "Apply Filters". It will provide specific type of transformer with mounting type and dimension.
