Hi.
I have a question about an example I found in the book: 'Microelectronics circuits' by Muhammad Rashid. .
The example and the results are shown in the figures below.
My question is about subsection d: ¿Where did the formula IL (max) and RL (Load Resistance) come from?

The formula for IL(max) and RL can be derived by using KCL and Ohm's law based on the circuit diagram shown.

And why do I have to assume Izk = Iz and Vz = Vzo??

The maximum value of IL occurs when Iz is minimum. That is why we assume Izk = Iz and Vz = Vzo.
