I'm using 4 ea UF5408 rectifiers as a FWBR to change a feedback circuit of 120v AC to 120v DC but then I need to drop the voltage down to 12v DC to supply and recharge a 12v 7ah battry which will in turn supply a 300w (2.5a rated ) Go Power invertor. the inverter in turn powers the other parts of my circuit which have the previous feedback circuit I mentioned.
I know this sounds like a long way around to do something but believe me its not. after the battry initially powers the circuit the battry will be switched off and the 12 v DC supply becomes self running.
I know! all of you just fell off your stools. Oh well that's not important, this whole unit is a build I am finishing from a patented production unit. I cant make and sell any but I sure can build my OWN for my own use. The patented production units DO perform nicely and have been publicly displayed also. the only information I couldn't figure out was how the 120v DC was changed to a steady 12v DC! maybe by a voltage divider circuit as the load on the circuit will never be more than 300w. I dont know the best and most simple way that is why I am asking for help!
Thanks in advance for your comments and guidance.
sincerely,
Clarence Finn
