A single phase , single stage test transformer used to test a hv cable
Transformer rating 250/200kv ,100kva ,pu resistance 0.01 and the pu leackage reactance 0.05
The hv cable under test rated 400kv and the charging current is 0.5A at 50hz
Using series resonance
The value of the reactor inductance is 2482.8 H
The attached photo shows the the cct diagram for the test
The results as follows:
Vs = 10733.592 phase -68.6
Which is 5.3 percent of the transformer rated secondary voltage
Vp= 7.37 phase 0
Whish is 2.95 percent of the transformer rated primary voltage
My question is :
Is there a way for doing this test ( adding components for ex) to acheive the folowing:
Maximizing the usage of both primary and secondary winding full rated voltages , and to minimize the inductance of the reactor which in turn reduces the cost .
Thanx
