Hey guys. I have a situation here. Im a beginner at Electrical engineering. so here is my question: My hydroelectric power plant generates a power of 1.7megaWatts and it's cable (through transistor and resistors) must be attached to another cable that has 6kiloVolt (not kVA) electricity. the electricity company told me that the cable with 6kV electricity will overheat and burn if i attach those two cables together so i must reduce my hpp's generation to 0.5megaWatts if i want to attach the cable. is there any way to "transform" 1.7 megawatts of power into 0.5 megawatts and then into 6kilovolts so that i can attach it to 6kV electricity cable. (unfortunately i don't have the info about amperage of the 6kV cable) therefore i don't know what to do and how to fix the issue, so that i can attach the electricity generated from my HPP to the line that has 6kV running through it.?
1.7mW is 1700kVA (kilo volt ampere)
1.7mW is 1700kVA (kilo volt ampere)
