Motor Control Ciircuit Board

I need help identifying what a circuit board does and what it's output is, I have both pictures of the board and a circuit diagram, plus I know what all of the components are and their values. Can anyone help me or direct me to someone that can? I can forward a copy of the circuit board diagram to anyone that feels like they can help me.

Hi John!

I'm not really sure about this, but I think the scr acts as a simple on/off thyristor firing circuit to control the motor. Once the circuit has been turned "ON”, it self latches and stays “ON” even when the push button is released provided that the load current is more than the thyristors latching current. The gate-cathode resistor R4 is generally included to reduce the gate’s sensitivity and prevent false triggering of the device.The potentiometer varies the speed of the motor by altering the gate current of the scr.
