I have these 1 watt LEDs that I'm told have a current rating of 300mA. At 300mA, they barely get warm, even without a heatsink. They use around 640mW at 300mA. I want them to be as bright as possible without shortening their lifespans. Would it be okay to run them at a higher current so their power consumption gets to 1 watt, or would it be best to keep the current at 300mA?
