Dear Friends,
what is the frequency need for control single phase AC motor (230 v) using PIC microcontroller.

I'd reckon that the standard frequency is 50 or 60 Hz depending on the particular country. For India it is 50 Hz.

However an AC motor's speed can also be varied by varying the frequency instead of the voltage, since the speed is directly proportional to both the voltage and frequency (within limits, of course).
