Car Magnet Drive

Hello together,


I am new here, nice forum , please can you help me, with follow question:

Does the car (from the Picture) move forward, only through switch "ON" and "OFF" the magnets?

Does it works, when I push it shortly, for starting?

(Attention: the magnet drive from my picture is not like a magnetic levitation train)

The idea behind the drawing would seem to be to sequence the magnets on and off in a wave form. so 1 on then off 2 on then off etc... This depending on which direction they are cycling would attempt to move the car.

The trouble in this design is likely that the magnets pull would be mostly straight down and would probably not move much if at all.

Maglev idea uses the inverse of this design by putting the pulling force in the track and cycling them instead of on the car/train. That way the vehicle moves forward by magnetically attracting the next pad ahead of the vehicle.

So for this design I doubt you would get movement at all or very little as there would be a minor multi directional pull to the bottom of the magnets.

Please, do somebody know another possibility, to imitate this mechanical belt drive (from this picture) and make it only electrical, (for example with electro magnets, etc.) without moving parts?

I search after a concept, where I use, only the pulling force of the magnets (because both poles (of a magnet) are going to be attracted to the neutral steel plate)
