Generation power Using PV

Dears,
Greetings.

As we all know, generators are generating power depending on the demanded load of the system, if I have a system with a maximum load of 10 MW and I'm generating power using PV cells only, I have two questions, the first question is how to control the output of the cells to generate the demanded load? and the second one is what types of protection will be on both DC and AC sides of the inverter?

For the first question, I believe the cell output differ from the amount of light the cells absorbs. The one you can control though is after it is store to a battery. The second question, I believe what you need is anything typical circuit protection which includes overvoltage protection, current protection, and etc.

Hi Kevin, following up on this I have a single solar power cell on my shed roof.

It is a 250W panel that gives ~65vDC unloaded.

I am trying to tame that down to something manageable but in pensioners price range. I have priced some commercial 24/12v output units with up to 35v or so input can be had for about $20AUD, but the next step up is is way over $100AUD.

I am reasonably experienced and have many regulator components 78xx - CL220N5 - LR12N3 etc and power Txs - 2N3055 etc. Many moons ago I made some P/S's using the 7812 with a 2N3955 for more power. Can you help with a Cct that can handle the PV panel power or a link to where I might get ideas?

PV cells generate DC voltage and it has to be converted into AC voltage by using cyclo converters. You can have regulated output i.e., output power can be changed by changing settings of cyclo-converters.
