Frequency divider (less than 1MHz)

If you can't find a commercially made, you can always resort to making one using logic gates. That way, you can retrofit to your requirements.

From the reply you gave Kevin, it would help if you could describe what it is you are trying to do more precisely, the implication from your comments is that you are dealing with a linear signal, not digital,

I am looking to buy/biuld a frequency divider (division factor 4) that has the following characteristics:


Analog input signal frequency in range of less than 1MHz (usually in range of 100-300kOhm)  input gain>14dBm
Output signal Amplitude should have a gain of around 14dBm  (be in order of 3 to 5 Vrms. Resistance around 1.1 to 1.5 KOhm)


I have been looking for a commercial products, but it seems that most of frequency dividers work in a MHz range and not in KHz range.  Any ideas ?

I am, indeed, working with an analog signal. Two Direct Digital Synthesizers (DDSs) is used to generate two waveform at different frequencies. These waveform are summed and are output on one 16-bit, 10MHz DAC. Now, I need to divide all the frequency contents of this analog signal by 4!


Is it possible to do it?

Assuming that you are running the DDS's at their minimum frequency, then one possible approach is to use an ADC to undersample the output. Look it up on the web, see if that will do what you require,
